Five Englishmen in an Audi Quattro arrived at an Irish border checkpoint. Paddy the officer stops them and tells them: "It is illegal to put 5 people in a Quattro, Quattro means four" "Quattro is just the name of the automobile," the Englishmen retorts disbelievingly. "Look at the papers: this car is designed to carry five persons." "You can not pull that one on me," replies Paddy "Quattro means four. You have five people in your car and you are therefore breaking the law." The Englishmen replies angrily, "You idiot! Call your supervisor over - I want to speak to someone with more intelligence!" "Sorry," responds Paddy, "Murphy is busy with 2 g…

Anyone here know of a good secure anonymizer account that supports HTTP-S Im sitting behind a proxyserver at work and need the HTTP Address scrambled./. I used to use triangleboy? then I paid for ANONYMIZER account but it was slooooooow. Work are starting to come down on net access and I can get away with it if its scrambled. Ive managed to edit proxy logs sometimes :) but under new management I dont think this will be possible.

An essay on which is best manual or automatic gearboxes The issues involving which is best manual or automatic gearboxes has been a popular topic amongst scholars for many years. In depth analysis of which is best manual or automatic gearboxes can be an enriching experience. Indispensable to homosapians today, which is best manual or automatic gearboxes is featuring more and more in the ideals of the young and upwardly mobile. It is an unfortunate consequence of our civilizations history that which is best manual or automatic gearboxes is rarely given rational consideration by those most reliant on technology, many of whom fail to comprehend the full scope of which i…

Don't think this is actually true, but amusing anyway (especially to our Canadian friends): This is based on an actual radio conversation between a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier (U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln) and Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October, 1995. (The radio conversation was released by the Chief of Naval Operations on 10/10/95 authorized by the Freedom of Information Act.) Canadians: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the South to avoid collision. Americans: Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the North to avoid a collision. Canadians: Negative. You will have to divert your course 15 degrees to the South to…

I was just outside the office having a ciggie, when I heard two cars having a tear-up down the road. Saw a black kitted M3 come round the corner with lots of noise, but it was overtaken and blown away by a bight red Alpha Romeo SZ (?!?!) Never seen one before, and it looked pretty good. Anyone know anything about them?

A HUSBAND IS AT HOME WATCHING A FOOTBALL GAME WHEN HIS WIFE INTERRUPTS, "HONEY, COULD YOU FIX THE LIGHT IN THE HALLWAY? IT'S BEEN FLICKERING FOR WEEKS NOW" HE LOOKS AT HER AND SAYS ANGRILY; "FIX THE LIGHT, NOW? DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE AN ELECTRICIANS LOGO PRINTED ON MY FOREHEAD? I DON'T THINK SO!" THE WIFE ASKS, "WELL THEN, COULD YOU FIX THE FRIDGE DOOR? IT WON'T CLOSE RIGHT." TO WHICH HE REPLIED, "FIX THE FRIDGE DOOR? DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE HOTPOINT WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD? I DON'T THINK SO." FINE, SHE SAYS,"THEN YOU COULD AT LEAST FIX THE STEPS TO THE FRONT DOOR?" THEY'RE ABOUT TO BREAK." "I'M NOT A DAMN CARPENTER AND I DON'T WANT TO FIX THE STEPS"…

car: safety: crash Exploding Collision Cars Cars that explode on impact. (+2, -15) [vote for, against] To ensure people drive safely fill everyones cars with explosives, then when someone has a crash, roadside sensors detect who's fault it was and automatically blows up their car. This extreme safety measure ensures that (a) people drive carefully because they don't want to get blown up and (b) Only the good drivers remain because all the bad ones have been blown up. :D

The page on the link below was created by Transport 2000 to help their supporters counter the arguments against their 'speed kills' campaign, some of them are ridiculous - check it out! "A 1mph increase in speed = 5% more accidents!" "Cameras aren't there just to raise cash because the £60,000,000 per year they bring in is nothing compared to total inland revenue receipts!" 60 million is nothing! Ha HA HA yeah right! What sort of pathetic argument is that? http://www.transport2000.org.uk/activistbriefings/SpeedandRoadSafety.htm

The young bride approached her awaiting husband on their wedding night and demanded $20 for their first love-making encounter. In his highly aroused state, he readily agreed. This scenario was repeated each time they made love for the next 30 years, him thinking it was a cute way for her to buy new clothes, etc. Arriving home around noon one day, she found her husband in a very drunken state. Over the next few minutes she heard of the ravages of financial ruin caused by corporate down sizing and it's effects on a 50 year old executive. Calmly, she handed him a bank book showing deposits and interest for 12 years totaling nearly $1 mi…
