Anyone had the Avital Avistart 4400 fitted? If so, what are your thoughts on it as it seems to have a hell of a lot of features (therefore potentially a lot to go wrong)? Cheers, David

Here are some pics of new uprated parts against the stock. First the pully. You can see the size difference between them but the most interesting part is the weight. I know they are lighter but I didnt know they where this much lighter. Stock was 13lb 7.5oz. (About 6.1 Kg) Unorthodox 1lb 14.6oz (Less than 0.9Kg) The lighter pully is 14% the weight of the stock, or in other words the stock one is over just over 7 times the weight of the light one. Greddy Intercoolers The Greddy intercooler are a little wider. I would say about half an inch or so. However the tank ends are metal, so they too will have a slight cooling effect on…

First of all, a big big thanks to PhilZ (or should it now be Phil911!) at C & S Wood for installing my RPS MAX clutch and RPS segmented flywheel, at very short notice. He mentioned that I got my money's worth from my old ACT clutch; I think the picture speaks for itself:- The plate was down to the bare metal, no wonder it was slipping so badly! You can even see on the old flywheel (left of pic) where the rivets on the clutch plate had been scoring a groove on its surface. It's great to have the Z back again :hyper: Dave

I see alloys for sale in car mags, new with new Z-rater tyres, under £1000 for four. Why, then do people rush to spend that or more on used ones with worn tyres etc? (on here or ebay or other places) Is it just looks? It is becasue Z-wheels are fractionally wider? Are some rubbish and dent easily?

Ok what is it about using kitchen appliances to do mods on our Z's. Re-Trimming the interior - Using an iron to flatten out the original panels, so that we can mark out the new ones. Fitting the EL rear panels - Using the oven to warm-up the panel. Modding the rear lights, for the '99 spec look - Using the oven to warm the light units up. How many more mods do we do that require us using kitchen appliances????? PS - See i avoided any comments regarding using the wife/girlfriends/mother's kitchen appliances  , I aint getting into that ;)

I went to get some ice from the ice tray in the freezer, used my usual "twist the tray" approach to coaxing it out. But the tray broke  and scattered shards of plastic into my Dry Martini and Lime ;) Any suggestions?

Just found out when taking the old timing belt off that it was quite a bit out, the cars always felt fine to drive for the last 4 years LOL so hopefully putting it right will free up a few more horsies for the white mean machine this year :D has anyone else had a belt fitted incorrectly but the car still drove ok? God I'm supposed to be selling lol. Just finished off fitting the brushed aluminium dash kit I bought. Here's some pics ;) I had to modify the lower centre console piece to go round my rocker switch controlling the rear fogs and also the small piece to the RHS of the steering wheel as the immobiler fob is there. Top job I think though  What d'ya think? Certainly brightens up the interior, smells nice too lol :D Cheers Pete
