so my car passed the MOT first time last week. Last night, I was driving home and a couple of miles from my house I heard what sounded like a helicopter blade noise (whum-whum-whum) that increased and decreased with my speed, and the whole rear started buzzing/rattling with resonance. I pulled over and did a check of the obvious (in the dark) and couldn't see anything wrong, so I nursed it home. This morning it occured to me to check the wheel nuts and I was shocked to find that, on the rear wheels, 3 of 5 bolts had sheared off completely on the nearside and 2 were loose on the offside. This after having had new tyres fitted only 3 weeks ago. I consider mys…

Hi. Went over to Kroozing.com meeting in Llandudno tonight to see what would turn up. Someone from up north showed up in a heavily modded black J-Reg RX7. He carried out some amazingly accurate manouvres tbh. Here's a shot of his engine bay, note no AFM. Anyone know him or what sort of turbo this is? :D

Hey all, Hi from across the pond. Plz disregard that Iraq deal, I had nothing to do with that. To the point, I wrecked a 1989 300z some time ago and I'd like to replace it and I've been looking. It seems that people are holding onto their 1989's and that 1988's or 1987's are more available. IS there anyplace that I can go to get a good, detailed, accurate comparison between these models? Thanks, Eric PS. Also, I'd like it if someone cold point me to a local (USA) 300z enthusiast site. Having touble locating among the swath of stuff on google.

Took the ZX to a Nissan garage for an MOT today - passed with no problems at all  In fact it caused guite a stir. A mechanic brought his little son into work with him, the little chap was saying how much he liked the silver 350Z in the front of the show-room......... ......until he went into the workshop and saw my ZX. He came out and told me how much he liked my car and that it was "......way better than that silver one......" He wouldn't believe that it was a Nissan until his dad pointed out the badge ;) Richard

Today I ordered from Luke 99 spec rear lights, new trim that goes up the windscreen and along the roof, new scuttle panels, 4 vented headlight panel and clear rear bumper lenses, she goes into the bodyshop in 2 weeks for a respray and to fit the rear spoiler which I bought off davesnewzx a year ago which is costing me a scarey amount of money, I am keeping her the origional colour as red is best :nana2: and I will fit the chrome inserts for the front headlights ready for when she is finished, then it will be time to work on the engine, I know being an NA limits me a bit but going for stillen headers, underdrive pulley and chip to start with, I just cant wait, people kee…

just spent all morning building some car ramps, as its too low to get up normal ramps. got some scaffold boards, cut them at an angle on one end, each one longer as i went along. nailed them on top of each other there great, can get right under the car now. the only time ive seen under my car was when i took it down to jeff (z world) actually he said it was one of the best he had seen underneath. i guess thats what you get with a jap motor,as they dont have the snow, rain and bloody salt that we have here. well chuffed now

Before I possibly waste £60 odd quid on a new remote fob, is there anyway of testing my old one for signal strength? At times I can stand there for 5 mins trying to get the alarm to arm/dissarm and at other times it will work straight away. I just would like to know if it's the fob or alarm itself. Cheers Vijay

This is a mission to be able to get all of the parts in time to continue onto the next stage! so far Im stumped ordered my pistons a couple of months ago, when they come through they was the wrong size so had to go back :headvswal since then I have been waiting for them, which has caused the whole rebuild to come to a stop, the pistons have currantly done more milage than they will ever do in the car! they have gone back and forth to america due to customs :mac1: Looked on the tracking data today and was told they are in transit for a delivery today, took the day off and they never showed up  Soon as they arrive I will be taking them to peter at SE…
