Well it seems that I will not only receive my redundency payment, but also all my notice period in full even though I won't work any of it! Right, this is probably going to be a drastically boring thread. Last week, I had a shunt in my company car. Now it was quite minor, but caused around £1,100s worth of damage to my car. It happened at a roundabout ontop of a motorway, I'd just pulled off, there was a woman in a Megan Classic infront on this rather large roundabout. Just pulling on at the opposite end was a Transit van, so a fair distance away. She started to pull out, I looked and saw it safe for me too. As I turned my head, I'd seen she's hesitated and come to a complete stop. I slammed the brakes on and hit her rear bumper at a head on angle. Little damage to her car, just some deep scratches. …

Hey guys, I'm getting fedup of the poor VHS quality of our now 6 year old video recorder and have been looking into HDD recorders. I've already got a freeview tuner on the pc and absolutely love the simplicity of the EPG and direct HDD recording functions. Ideally what I'd like to have is a unit with twin-freeview tuners (so that one can record whilst we can watch another channel), a 80-200Gb HDD and DVD playing/recording facilities. I've looked at the KiSS Technologies DP-588 which ticks all boxes except the twin tuner one. I know there are others out there but thought I'd ask if any of you have one and if so what your thoughts are on this. Are they worth …

I've had enough of HSBC. Today the cal centre bloke (in India) took 20 minutes to tell me I had to go to my branch. Drove across town to my branch, explained what I wanted and they said 'Call the call centre'. I told them I wanted to close my account. THe woman said 'Theres only me here so you cant'. They've made lots of mistakes recently and I've lost confidence in them.
