:hyper: Well I'm back behind the wheel of a Zed. Black Auto TT Import. Needs some work doing on it to make it 100% but I'm used to buying Zeds that need a little TLC. Big thanks to Chunky and Macca for the advice. Sorry to bother you on a Sunday evening. As some of you may know I was looking very hard into buying Zelda, unfortunately I couldn’t stretch to the asking price but the seeds were well and truly sown that I need and new Zed and NOW! I'm looking at learning car maintenace etc so i can work on my cars myself. I can do the basic servicing but engine removal etc are beond me. my question is how do you go about learning? Unfortunatly i'm in full time employment so i'd be learing at home evenings & weekends. I have 2 cars so i can afford to have 1 off road & 1 to tinker with but apart from that i don't have a bloody clue lol Any help is appreciated. J

Well, I've spent the last 2 days replacing the heater matrix + clutch booster. I've done this job once before on my other Zed & I don't want to have to do it again :rant: my hands are cut to pieces. WTF were nissan thinking of, that has to be the worst job on the zed! Anyway it's done now, just hope I didn't fook anything up along the way :o :D It seems ok at the moment. At last, heat & a clutch! wohoo :D

any on have any experience of these, probably going to go for a 98/99 with around 50k on the clock.

I'm gettin really fed up with my zed, it's like a 1.8 and its really pissing me of now, I keep spending money on it and it gives nothing in return, had it for about 2 yrs now and always drived like shite, just dont know what to do anymore! Will I ever be able to justify her looks with some performance :( 0-60 in 10+ seconds WTF! and i'm going to make a cuppa now....

Ok where do i start...driving to work tonight quite happily roaming through the gears then not a lot of power...followed by no power...followed by the engine running in way reminiscant of a knackered tractor. Now the thing will hardly run at all and sounds like it's on 2 cylinders struggling (with my foot planted on the floor) at 200rpm. Please help....as i understand that a lot of you guys use your zeds as second cars but mine is a daily driver and without it i'm totally fooked. I just don't know what the hell is wrong with it...its either the cam belt or the ptu, but i don't know how the egine runs when the ptu is dead?? I'm gettin rapdily to the end…

Well she has gone (300zx) its was a sad sight seeing her driving away :cry: :cry: All I can say is I had some great times in that car...!! Made new friends you know who you are.! Enjoyed sorting some meets out best one was the RR day.. Well what an experience I had today. Last summer when we mapped the car it was a very hot day and we set the boost to 21psi Today the weather was very cold only 1 above freezing I was boosting at 23psi and was lighting new bloody tyres at 80mph in third gear. The car was side ways on a long straight and the roads were very dry. Just can’t wait to upgrade the fuel pumps so I can run more boost it is going to be one hell of an experience I tell thee :D
