I didnt disconnect anything.. I have bid on a new pump because I dont understand how it is electrical. # I dont have any electrics that would effect mine. Mine does not have the 4 wheel steering... and does was in KPM. instead of mph. I am really puzzled and i believe it is the pump... but anyone is free to prove me wrong.... its a bummer to drive without powersteering....

anyone know who to take it to that is nearby.... i am near hull. i gotta really get this investigated... its a right bugger.... because my fluid was leaking from a hose... so i assumed that debree or air caused a malfunction...

how does the speed converter effect the power steering pump... the engine is running fine... gearing is fine. the belt is fine. i had a thought to suggest that a valve in the pump is going... possibly a blockage.. or a air bubble... hmmmm

i think my power steering pump is going.. but i want your advice. it works some times and others no.... it goes in and out when driving... but there is no noises.... i was not sure if it was the pump or if it was the power steering rack.. hmmmm advice please.. i can get second hand parts for this (thanks to another member) easy.... so let me know.. cheers. :hyper:

any of you guys know where to get a new one... mine has more cracks in it than a dryed out elephant.... its gonna fall apart soon. ps if i am buying a new one... or used.. are there upgrades???

From my experiance.. there could be a number of things... Tappets... oil pump.. it could be completly unrelated to the oil issue... but most likely not.... worse case ... dare i say it could have caused piston damnage.. depends on the noise.... cant really say... i would have it looked at quickly if your not sure... could be something simple... but if it sounds like a banging noise... its a worry.

oh yes.. i am a member now.. just waiting for my details... i gotta be one of the quickest members on here... and NOT about my car... because within 10 min of viewing this site i had already forked over my hard earned cash (yeah right to hard earned) via paypal and subscribed via the link... So I am a member.. And I know jap cars are better built than american so you gotta be able to get at least 9 seconds... quarter mile.... if not i will cry... and no one wants to see that... pistons. bore. crank shaft, tappets, manifold, fly wheel, etc.. all gotta get done..and at least 2 bottles of nos... maby even put a single turbo in... but have it custom made ... hmmmm so much.. and only at the begining of my adventure.. Pete!!! I tryed calling your house about 20 min ago.. and no answer ... hmmmm were you in your garage or something playing with your new toy.... Please hang fire with that pump... if all well i wont need it but i am sure i might... and anyway got your details now... so I am sure there are bits and bobs i need..... Thanks guys... and gals.. yes.. yes i do.. i know where you can get em.. I got to find the details again.. picked em up for my camaro.. they were cooper cobra tires.. and had the white lettering on em.. I am going to do the same to my Zed... I will update you asap.. or look in a classic american meg... go to boots or any where and just pick up numbers... dont have to buy a mag.... heee hee.e

There are many problems with having alloy spoilers. here are a few... and this is from experiance.. not just because.. on my rx7 i decided to try to be fast and furious... with allow spoilers... it destroys the metal work on the boot area. they are very easy to nick / steal... its happened a few times.. if you buy a adjustable one it is a constant fiddling job... so my view is .. I will never do it again... but that shouldnt stop you.. or anyone.. its just my own taste.... ps anyone know where there is a second hand spoiler like above drawings... and ps...sgt... your car looks ACE... I like the black on chrome...

I was in a red and black chevy camaro.. it had centerline wheels the bonnet was off when racing.. (need air to help cool) twin exhaust out the sides... strait through pipes.. very loud... there was also a yellow camaro (older) about 1970's.... that was running very low 9's. and a couple of dare i say... boy racers... that one I was impressed with was a clio... but not like any other... it had 2 engines... and was quick as heck. as per the previous post.. I know what you mean about coughing up money.. however when you join on a forum.. you have to expect to join.. no pressure .. but i was going to anyway.. i have given my money.. and i got my reciept... how long is it before you get details that you can access other areas of this site??? Anyway.. what type of bhp can i expect with a non turbo... if i need to change crank shaft pistons and rebor i willl..... tappets.. springs. all part of the usual. Well please let me know.. hmmm santa pod.. got 8.43.. york was hitting around 9 so I think maby uk.. hmmm but then again 2 tanks nitros. 5.7 engine.. not a spring that wasnt touched.. and it looked like hell. but went like stink.

mine is not a turbo. so its a 6 second car.. from 0-60.. it feels much slower than my camaro which was doing 8.5 quarter mile no turbo.. so chipping sounds good. then i guess nos.. and jetting. am considering getting larger manifolds. etc.. and de catting the bugger. pps peeps.. i paid!!!! not a slouth... so will wait for my welcome to zeds forum and zed club pack!!!! horrah.. paypal works.

hello Ladies and Gents, I have been involved in alot of jap cars but never had a 300zx. I have recently sold off my american cars.. (which I loved !!!) and gone back to jap.. before anyone makes any funny jokes.. I am american.. but in the uk... So not having a zx before I have MANY questions... I suppose I should tell you details.. 1993 ZX Fairlady imported from Japan. 51K in miles now... it has a induction kit..(apexi) a single large silly exhaust.. you know which one.. and a few other mods.. its manual 5 speed and thats all i really know. I want it to go faster.. its slow as heck from 0-60... or so it seems. i think its restricted but am not sure as i had it past 115mph.. legall of cours.. (yeah right) So what can I do... Who do I go to.. Who will rip me off. you know the drill. Who has bits kicking about. Where can I start my journey in my modding world. Please help txt call email what ever you like.
