Jeff, I posted up on the board before.. and was told it was the speed sensor... My power steering comes on and off.. mostly off now... So i went out bought a second hand power steering pump... but the club told me not to fit that before I get a new speed sensor.. My speedo is fine. i dont have cruise control. I have a 5 speed gearbox. however i do have problems with the idle going up and down.. but i believe that is a seperate problem in itself... the steering goes hard soft etc... but as said mostly hard... it is a import and has not yet been chipped... so i am after doing that soon.... see my previous post.. anyway i am buggered.. i am really getting annoyed with this car.. and might just take it to nissan soon.... please help

Wow ... was out cruising with the local boy racers.. and spotted not one but 2 zeds..... wow.... both were a silver/gray type.. and both TT. I was dead chuffed... Cottingham has 3 in total.. :( I bought a powersteering sensor that was said to be for my car..... however when i went to fit it I found that it was about a inch too short.. and at the end of the shaft it was a differant spline.... it was green instead of red... (dont know if that makes any differance) Anyway ... old one back in... and I am now buggered. GRRRRRRR Any thoughts about it? I guess you can say I am shafted. lol.

your looking at the same ones i am on ebay.. bring them to a wheel referbisher... they can do it cheap enough.. and they can do it safely...

I got my alarm fitted at RAM audio. They are nation wide and are great... I wont publish what type ..as it has only just been released.. but go to RAM... great prices and life time warrentys that are real....

yep. i got plenty.. i had two.. i had the gtb and gt. the main thing to look out for is RUST!!! A piller... door sills. everywhere really... if it hasnt been restored bank on 5K to get it that way.... they fall apart easily.. and make sure it has had a proper unleaded conversion if it has one.. any questions ask.. i am here...

come on.... there is that kit you can buy to de restrict it.... i think that is about 50... and then you can do a heater matrix bypass.. FREE there are mods that can be done... and if your doing a free bypass than you can afford to buy a cone from ebay and fit it yourself just need to be creative and make your own tubing...

I had high hopes for the pimp my ride uk.. but it is more than a let down... westwood needs to be bludgened with a stick.... exhibit is great... he is real and when he laughs he really thinks something is funny... meaning he is real and not a fake muppet like westwood... and the quality of cars that come out is rubbish..... no wonder we have to resort to modding ourselfs.... westcoast customs is great....

PS HELP with this ... i have that stupid beeping sound at about 65mph.... its that corney chime and it is doing my head in.... how do i get rid of it and if someone says it a fuse.. please send me a diagram.. as its all in jap... thanks.

Hi billy.. its still restricted.. trust me i know... so its the sensor or this rack... i bought a new sensor so i will try that out... 99% of the time the power steering is not working.. occasionally it kicks in... so the sensor will be the first thing i check... only cost me a 5er.. on ebay... how cool. :hyper:

bugger. anyway i just won a new speed sensor from ebay.... but its for a turbo.. i dont think that matters.... fingers crossed. is it a bugger to fit??? apart from the obvious .. that you have to work on your back in a car that is lower than my grannys boobs,.

mine has just been quoted for tinting... it is the heat shrink stuff.. (top of the line) not the normal halfords crap... cost... well just under.. 500£ not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Thanks Chewie, that was what i was suspecting.. Where do I get this from... any recommendations... Plus if you can send pics in your own time. This will help me/us look for this problem and try to sort it... I am going to try to locate the speed sensor and disconnect it... by theory it make the steering light at all times... but wont register the speed.... is this right??? Thanks again!!! a drink is comming to the one who is right first...
