I'm sure you have heard this before, but i was offered 2 sets of brake discs ie. front and rear from my local Nissan dealer. He wants 280 euro for the front pair and 184 euro for the rear pair. Is this a reasonable price or should i be buying aftermarket items such as 3G or Brembo etc. I thought they sounded cheap but I'm not sure :)

Thanks guys, The frigging car stalled on a bridge in the middle of town on the way to the motor factors :headvswal blocked the road for 10 mins, luckily i found a freeze bag tie in the storage compartment which i stripped to the wire and inserted it into the connector. I may go to Nissan tomorrow but I'm worried that they won't entertain me as it's an import :headvswal

I just looked at the connectors and there is a pin missing out of the red socket thats on the pipe that the yellow connector plugs into. Are these engine specific or could i pick one up at an auto factors?

I think i'm gonna have to replace the sensor plug as its been cleaned before. Thanks mate. Oh, do i have to replace it with the same connector or will any do ?

Guys, Anyone able to help on this one, As soon as I start the car the FAN kicks in immediately, it's running low then high then low again and so on. Has anyone any solutions as I have not had as many problems with any of my other cars and I'm starting to get depressed with it. :(

Not sure about English rules etc. but over here in Ireland you can get bikes restricted. My first bike was an RR3 Fireblade :dance: I've got a K5 GSXR 600 at the moment while i'm waiting for my RR4 Fireblade :bow: and i'm still on my provisional license. As far as i know you can get pretty much any bike restricted which will be certified for the insurance companies. :dance:

It's fine bud, i,ve a series 2 jap tt and mine does it as well. It,s designed to light up the roadside as you turn and make you more easily seen by other road users who might be heading towards you as you pull out :D

Chewie, I'm in the same boat as you! 2 great kids and a wife that puts up with me and my cars :D. She does get quite p***ed at me from time to time but all in all she does like what i do to my cars. It'll be some time in the summer before i'll have my Z looking the way i want it. We should definitely meet up though as the kids would have a great time and the wives would have something in common too ( complain about how much money and attention we spend on our ZEDS :rofl:

Is there 2 sensors on this pipe and would the one you're talking about be closest to the passenger side. Because if it is it fell apart when he was working on it :headvswal .He put a little connector on it .Should i tape it up? OH and thanks very much for your help mate :bow:

i've got one from Luke and with a bit of luck my car will be going over to Lukes mate Frank in the next couple of weeks for a full wide arch kit incl. tailgate tub and a full respray. It won't be ready for about 6-8 weeks but i should be able to post up pictures when i get it back

I have the same complaint, will greasing up the tension rod bush stop the shimmying from the brakes though or should i be looking for new discs

Can anyone help. As some of you know, my cambelt gave up @ 50mph. Fortunately she's running again with no damage to valves :hyper: .The only problem is that when i go to accelerate the car pauses for a couple of seconds and the revs drop from 900 to 500 rpm and the boost goes from -6 to 0 . My oil pressure goes from between 2 and 4 but no higher, whats the story with it, it's starting to wreck my head :confused:
