Sudden no restart
Issue resolved. Best guess, it was a dirty air filter causing a sensor to sense low flow and disabling ignition. I don’t know if there is such a system but with the intakes open at the cylinder head she fired up.

Sudden no restart
Afternoon all, Looking for some advice as I stand on the forecourt of a garage in Malta. I drove the car here, warmed down the turbos then turned off the ignition. On restart (10 minutes elapsed), I disabled the immobiliser as normal and cranked the engine as normal. No fire up. I am yet to pull a plug and check for a spark but fuel pump runs, I can smell fuel but not too strongly, all fuses are good. I interchanged EGI and ignition coil relays with no effect. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Rob +447703237954

FOR-SALE - Uk Spec, Twin Turbo, Manual in Grey metallic, 1994.
View Advert Uk Spec, Twin Turbo, Manual in Grey metallic, 1994. 1994, UK Spec, Nissan 300zx Z32, Twin Turbo, manual transmission. Full leather and suede trim interior. Vehicle has very few modifications. A one piece drive shaft, uprated clutch, stainless steel exhaust system, 99 spec rear spoiler. Otherwise unmolested throughout its lifetime. The mileage is a very genuine 127000 miles. The engine had an overhaul at 125,000 miles. The service history I hold dates back to 1997. I suspect the services from 1994 to 1996 were Nissan dealer services but although I have the original Nissan wallet there is no service document amongst the manuals etc. I have owned the car since 2005. There has been about 5000 miles put on since then however I have always run the engine and carried out functional checks monthly. I am an aircraft engineer and I understand the importance of maintenance. Defects: Crack in windscreen however not an MOT fail. Passenger heated seat. Air-conditioning. Radio Antenna. Cruise control. I have not find the time 18 years to troubleshoot these defects that were present when I bought the car. For any further information please get in touch. I have a club valuation of £26,000 and I am open to offers. Advertiser trebor Date 13/07/23 Price Category Cars - For Sale

OEM Parts Suppliers
Hi all, I am finally ready to start putting the work into my Z. Its been garaged since 2014. Its mostly original and I intend to keep it that way. Please could you recommend places to purchase OEM spares. I need to replace all the brake lines, hose and pipe. Any recommendations for hard pipe and fittings? Running gear has corrosion and I'll need to replace that which cannot be cleaned up. Yours hopefully Rob

Afternoon, I read the post and the reference to the Standard wheel, tyres. I want to put my standard, UK spec, wheels back on the car. I am looking for advice on a set of tyres as it seems difficult to get a set made by a single manufacturer. Please could you tell me what you found for your car and how do they perform? Anyone with recommendations on mixing tyres sets? THanks Rob

Turbo seals replacement
Hi All My right exhaust bank has begun to churn out the blue smoke. Can you please advise me: What spares I will need once I have the engine out. Where I can get them from the UK. Should I be re-conditioning the turbos entirely ? How do aftermarket replacement turbos compare price wise to re-conning the original items. If I were to have a garage undertake the work, how much do you think it would cost? Many thanks Rob

Stock Adjustable Suspension
Evening, I began stripping out my Z boot trim today to replace the rear shock struts and was surprised to find an electrical actuator sat on top of each shock. Looking in the manual and comparing to my car though, I dont have the suspension adjustment control on the centre console. My question to the Z gurus is was this normal fit for a UK, manual, twin turbo ,1994 ? I cant understand how the equipment would be fitted but not the control panel? Does anyone know?

Shuts itself off at around 3000rpm or when hitting a bump
I had a problem with the airflow sensor (MAF) which gave the spluttering sympton approaching 3000 rpm.

Shock absorber advice please
Are eibach springs and drop KYB AGX shocks still the most popular choice for the zed? Who sells them? Are these the best on the market or a finances/performance trade off? Many thanks

Wavering rear left.
Thanks but Id expect that to be picked up on the MOT and there was no movement before the mot. If it turns out to be worn Hicas arms I will have some concerns.

Wavering rear left.
Hi All, Has anyone suffered this phenomenem. Over rough road only the rear left swings about. Sometimes if turning left hard on the power (therefore less weight on rear left) I get a hammering /juddering. It has begun post MOT and bodywork. An ex Z owner has suggested dirt on HICAS sensors, do such sensors exist? Maybe they have been oversprayed? I need to jack the corner to check for loose fittings but all seems good with weight on wheels. Can anyone give me pointers for things to look for please. Cheers Rob

2500 rpm ceiling
Are the AFM and MAF sensor one and the same? Mass air flow/ air flow meter? The MAF sensor plug is clean and dry however the screws retaining the connector are quite rusty and the cap is bowed so moisture could/ will have have got in. I removed the Maf sensor plug and ran the engine, there was no difference at all so I am thinking new MAF sensor however it would be nice to know if the MAF sensor is disconnected on a healthy 1994 z32 tt that the same problem occurs. Any volunteers?

2500 rpm ceiling
Morning all, I have a engine problem I could use some advice for. The engine will not rev above 2500 rpm. At a standstill if I hold the throttle at 2500rpm the engine appears to rev itself between 2000 and 2500 rpm, very rythmically like hitting a rev limiter as it chops at 2.5k. In fwd motion as you hit 2.5k the car judders violently. Over the last few months the car has had a similar problem, it was reluctant to accelerate under light throttle, it would stutter etc but would get through it and rev out fine. Sometimes though you could run it without a problem. I have had issues with the two water temp sensors at the front but am pretty certain I have a good connection there at present as the tickover is fine.I did find a broken wire here on the single spade plug and a loose connection on the double spade just before this 2.5k limit problem started. Could it be that the ECU needs to be reset after coping with dodgy wiring problems? Any ideas please? Cheers Rob.

Whats the stupidest thing youve done in a car?
Daftess thing I can think of in a car was when turning off a road I saw some mates in their cooper s waiting at the junction, tried to show off by turning in fast, went up the pavement and hit the wall at the side of the road........ they were suitably impressed. Funniest thing in a car was watching the look on my passengers face as we were crashing sideways into a dry stone wall on Anglesey. He was about three foot higher than me at the time (car nearly rolled), ashen faced, wide eyed and his specs were suspended in mid air at the point of no gravity. Then the old couple I'd teararsed passed five bends previous dawdled on by and it was suddenly rather embarrasing. If you want to talk bike crashes mind you, I could tell you a few tales.
