I could not disagree more lol. I have been with this place since its inception (well nearly lol call me a lier for a week) and its taken a massive downhill slide. Well Mac , I suppose its fair to say I dont love them. I mean they are no use whatsoever are they? So the least they could do is pvovide a little sporting challenge for us. Konrad At its peak in 1973 the 240Z sold just over 50,000 The 280ZX in 79-80 sold over 70,000. I think in 84 they had another similar sales high. Then things nosedived until the Z32. As Isaid before just because a car sold well didn`t mean it was a great car , it just meant lots of people bought it. The 240Z on the other hand was a milestone car, a world better than anything else at the time. As for trying to revive their image - they will have to do alot better than the 350Z. They seem to me to be copying the trend too closely at the moment ie.. Audi TT Mark

That reminds me - there is a points system for roadkill. Can anyone remember how it goes. Something like: Rabbit 5 points Hedgehog 10 points Cats 25 points Iv`e been trying for a cat for ages - I`m useless - just cant get them.They can certainly move fast when they want to!! A better title to the thread would have been: Does your parner like your zed? Mine is free to drive it anytime - she has driven it twice and she doesn`t like it Thats ok more time for me to drive it! I think women who drive big flash cars are in a minority. Most of them prefer something a little more subtle. Whereas us guys dont care and prefer to be seen in something fast/flash/big/expensive. Quite nice for a change though when you can jump in another car and not have everybody and the cat wanting to race you. Mark

Mark I suppose it depends what you mean by a success. The 280ZX was the biggest selling zed ever but did you like it? - no it was a load of crap. Quite often success doesn`t mean the car is actually any good. It just means alot of people bought it. Technically it is probably a very good car - it is just the look of it I don`t like Mark

I don`t particularly fancy the Audi TT - but if it was a choice between that or a 350Z - I`d go for the TT. Be honest with yourselves the 350Z is bloody ugly. It`s not a patch on the Z32. You dont have to like it because its a Nissan "sports" car! Mark

Fred Try this - open the bonnet and at the very rear corner of the bulkhead , drivers side is a little oblong shaped box. Thats your boost sensor - take of the short vacuum pipe at the T connector (still leaving other end connected to sensor) get a syringe or something similar and stick it in the end of the little vac pipe - now when you pull or push the plunger you should see the needle move on the gauge.If that doesn`t work then I think your going to have to get at the gauge itself. But first you need to know if its a vac or elec problem Cheers Mark ps you might need your ignition on at same time.

Stuart It wasn`t a 0-60 race. I was busy minding my own business about 120 and I see him coming and let him carry on. I would guess he was going about 130 and I let him pass , then I change my mind and was doing 140 to pass him.End of the story Mark

Who said these were hairdressers cars. Was quite surprised - had to go to 140 to see him off. He looked like he was trying to come back and then gave up!! Dont you just love going past new or nearly new cars in old J or K reg cars - I should imagine they get a bit pizzed off. This was all on the private test track by the way. Mark

Andy - thanks again for sorting out the boost gauge. All it took was a phone call and Andy sorted it (vac pipes had been put on wrong in the past) Just been for a blast and gauge goes to about +10.5 or around mid mark between 7 and 14 Owe you a drink at billing if you are there :) Mark

Andy Thanks for the advice. I swapped the vac pipes over so that the one from the sensor now goes to the upper metal tube on the side of the engine. It then comes out of the metal pipe/tube and goes into the front of the engine near the throttle chamber thingy. But still no good - gauge still not working! Should I be getting vacuum from this vac hose where it comes out of the engine? Mark

Vijay You could well be right. Iv`e tried swapping all the ones I can get at and then put them back.Dont know if Iv`e got two problems or not! No - and no + reading! Cheers Mark
