  1. Yeah you are right turboz - best stick to your manually folding UK ones. Mark
  2. Thanks for that Dave - the whole point of wanting to see a wiring diagram. I suppose I could work it out if I could be bothered. Mark
  3. If thats the case I will wire it to stay live with ignition on. Mark
  4. Yes , I would normally agree but I am sick of getting out of the car every time to fold/unfold the passenger side - as the garage is a bit of a tight fit. Mark
  5. Any one know where I can see a diagram for the folding mirrors for a jap spec. I dont think any other market does the folding bit. Want to convert my UK to these. Mark
  6. 1. Change the master cylinder - that will rule that out , czp.us or courtesyparts.com 2. Clutch operating lever - you need to get it on a ramp or jack it up(ALWAYS USE AXLE STANDS) to see - if unsure space it out with something like a pound coin and see if you get any more movement. 3. Check the adjustment - its in the online manual - about CL 7 I think. 4. Gearbox oil - check it or get it checked. 5. The clutch - thats my guess.Takes a good mechanic about 2 to 2.5 hours to get it out.And it does`nt have to slip to be ****ed - there was hardly any wear on mine. 6. Gearbox - well if all the above are ok then this is the problem. Also - if you are changing the master cylinder you might as wel change the slave cylinder(the one on the gearbox) they are quite cheap. And always make sure its bled from both bleed nipples , several times as per the manual.Good luck. Mark
  7. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18238&item=4562501227&rd=1 15,000 miles from new and it had another engine??? Every time he puts it on ebay - you get a bit more of the story. At least he`s starting it off at a sensible price - you never know one day it might even sell!!!Then again I would guess the reserve is about £15,000 And everybody thought it had only done 15k miles.Wonder if he has still got his sheepskin on in this weather. 9. Sure did - the shit ACT "uprated clutch" fell apart. One of the springs came apart and jammed. The housing holding the spring looked to be week - I will never fit another ACT clutch again.RPS seems to be the recommended option - hence my thread looking for one - not cheap though - perhaps we should get a GB going or import a batch ourselves - let me know your thoughts. Mark
  10. http://aolsearch.aol.co.uk/redir?urn=http://www.exhausts.uk.com/&rank=1&source=AstWebSearch&searchType=MS&partner=Google&query=longlife+exhausts Worth considering for exhausts. Mark
  11. Like most cars - the best thing you can do with them is use them every day. It wont hurt them but will in fact keep them in good shape - as problems will quickly come to light. One of the worst things you can do with a car is leave it sitting about for weeks. So if you can afford the optimax just run it all the time.If you cant afford constant fuel bills you should maybe look at something more econimical as you will get 16 - 20 mpg when you boot it. Mark
  12. would have to be a very high cliff even then i think 120mph is the max freefall velocity - i stand to be corrected of course if somebody knows better Mark
  13. As he said TT`s only Mark
  14. Send it to spoof@ebay.co.uk and they will pass it on. Mark
  15. I agree - I think they look good but everyone to their own. Anybody got a decent picture of them. Mark
  16. Aah ok thanks for that. Mark
  17. Anybody know if these were standard or an option? Quite liked the look of them. They are sort of solid softish rubber in black. Quite chunky - are they an import thing? Mark
  18. 50p - I would have thought that was about the correct value for a lotus. Mark
  19. Have a look here - lots of useful info. I think this is for Stage 4 - but search the site. http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_6_14&products_id=58 Mark
  20. Hi Glen Ok thanks - quite interesting what you say.Its a bit of a head scratcher this one - I think I`m going round in circles.Have tried driving car and it will be too dangerous so may have to get it recovered to local garage and tell them what you suggest.Help and advice much appreciated. Mark
  21. Hi Eric Yes , after taking most of the underside dash apart on the drivers side to get to the switches as per CL-7 it adjusts to about 197mm and no more - even if you unwind the switches further. And it still makes no difference. Worth a try though and your help is much appreciated. Mark
  22. Hi Thanks swbtt - I`ll see if I can get access to a ramp. Should be interesting driving it like this. I did jack the car up on one side and from what I could see the lever looked ok - but I will get a better look. Did you have this very same problem then? Mark
  23. Have checked adjustment and all ok. Could it be booster problem? Mark
