  1. I am contemplating on taking my car mods to the next level. I have basic mods like, apexi indeuction kit, brembo discs, blue flame exhausts and a performance chip. I need advise on what stage to go next. I would like the Zed with a bit more power as at times I feel I miss my 928GTS performances. Any recommendations please with anticipated costs and where to get parts etc. Thanks.
  2. If I want a wide arch body kit, then obviously I need wider wheels ? However, if I buy the wheels first then am I not restricted to the body kit that will accomodate the wheels ? What I am trying to ask is where do you begin, wheels first or bodykit first ? Also who does good dewals og kits and wheels ? Cheers !
  3. Now, being a novice in styling etc. I need to ask, to achieve a customized Zed, where do you begin ? Do you buy the wheels first and then work round them or do you buy the bodykit first and then the wheels ? Also how much does it cost to buy a full body kit and get it fitted ? Are there specific places or can any bodyshop accomodate ? Finally, to change the colour of the Zed to a completely different one, is this considerably much higher in costs than keeping the same stock colour ? Where is the best place to get a bodykit and wheels ?
  4. So from the above posts, I've gathered they deliver to the UK, but how do you choose the shipping rate from the menu ?
  5. LMFAO ! Robots don't go whoooosssshhh. Besides, the only dump valve I know is the pyloric sphincter that contracts and expands. I tried to follow the write up but half the things I can't visually see on the Zed thus great theory but no practice for me. Bad isn't it. You see, cars and I have a very touchy relationship. I let my wife do the mechanics shes more good at it than I am. Took me 3 hours to put turbo hard pipes on the other day, had to hack saw off the old ones. So you see, I am a disaster master for motors. By the way, where are you based in Russia ? I did a 9 month contract in Moscow not to long ago. Cold as hell mate. My underwear constantly froze solid and yes I was wearing them at the time !
  6. Do not agree on any points you say. In my opinion if we all took your attitude then this forum would be called very-boring.300zx.co.uk Also would be grateful if you kept opinions like "dumb" to yourself as I am sure speaking on behalf of others here also, it comes across very offensive. Its a pity in my opinion you lack the benefit of your intellect, but according to your comment, 80% of members here are "dumb" for fitting BOV ??? If you can't put your comment constructively and in a manerred form, then DON'T F*CKING SAY ANYTHING DUDE. Get a life and learn people skills. Besides, try "slapping" yourself to get some common sense. Why do we have idiots here who spoil the atmosphere for everyone ??? SENSE & LACK OFF SENSIBILITY
  7. Ok guys, so where do I buy them from and how much is the cost ?
  8. So Bob, are you able to supply and fit a Toad with the features I'm looking for to my Zed ? Moi in Enfield, Middlesex.
  9. I would like some dumpy valvy thingys on me car that go whoooossshhhh. Now, I have got an Apexi induction kitty and need advice on what to get and how much to spend. Would I be asking too much for someone to help me fit them as the last time I did any engine work I destroyed a BMW's engine thus need help here. I am in Enfield, Middlesex. I have read the DIY guide to fitting BOVs but its too much for me. I want a big loud noise that will p*ss the entire street off as the Supra next door has one and every time I'm out there and tinkering he has to make an issue of how good his car is and the brilliant dump valve he has fitted last week. Thus I am calling on all forum members to unite and save my reputation and that of the Zeds as now its time for me to progress from a boy to a man and so need help ! Let us make this place a Zed planet and eliminate the uprising of the Supras. We need a revolution. If I can change (ex Supra TT owner) then everyone can change.
  10. So whats the alternative to Clifford ? A roteweiller in the boot !
  11. Thanks James & Nad. Didn't know turbo timer and remote start would void CAT 1 status. So any ideas to come around this ?
  12. Currently have a top end Cobra alarm and am just not happy with it. Looking to replace it with a G5 Clifford. However have no clue with which model to go for and what to spend. These are the features I would like: Remote locking/unlocking Remote start Turbo timer inbuilt Total closure Headlamp delay Proximity warning sensor Has to be CAT1 certified for insurance purposes Now I tried interpreting the various models and features but the jargon seems confusing. Want to know which model would be best and how much is one expected to pay. Obviously its pointless getting the top model as some features I will never need to use. Last but not least, any recommendations in suppliers/fitters etc. I am based in Enfield, Middlesex. Thanks
  13. I'm in Enfield Highway off Brick Lane near Green Street roundabout, about a mile and a half away from you dude ! Thats a total rip off in my opinion. Yes I have a driveway and garage but this is astronomical pricing !
  14. Thanks Rich, got the aeriel, listening to JUNGLE !
  15. Does anyone know where Russ is from 300zx body styling ? Thanks
  16. I am 36, Jap TT, with NIL NCB and am on a classic policy with Heritage with all mods declared etc. and I pay £185 !
  17. Ok, mine was done by Krsmayo and I watched him fit them and is fairly fiddly. No you don't have to take the steering column off. You start by taking off the 2 side panels on either side of the steering wheel. Then the instrument visor. Then few screws holding the cluster and out it comes. I'm making it sound easy but it really isn't and I have probably missed out a few steps. Do a search on intsrument cluster removal here. Besides are you sure your speedo is calibrated to 160mph ? Those dials look like they are from the US and correct me if I'm wrong but need a resistor of somekind to calibrate for use here.
  18. I'm in Enfield, Middlesex, most welcome to try mine out
  19. I have 2 x wider stock rims, 8.5 inch (no major scuffs or buckles) for the back, its for the UK spec. Tyres are just street legal (Yokohomas) and will last you a month thus would need replacing. Give me a ring or send me an email if you are interested, £50 for the pair plus carriage. syed.rahman@tiscali.co.uk
  20. You and your family will be in our prayers. I am sure all will be well. Our hearts are with you.
  21. My cousin did that to his Z and it screwed the engine big time. Flush out the tank asap and don't run the car in the interim.
  22. Definitely over priced, I used to have one.
