tapping could just be sticky lifters? does it go away after a while? id only be worried if it taps as it goes over 3000 revs for a second then stops, thats a tell tale sign of big end shells

if it sound too good to be true, its is!! t28s are fooking awesome though, trust me! well worth saving the extra few pounds

also worth bearing in mind if u have a braided fuel line kit then they might not fit

i think its the short shifter as people have said, mines a short shift and pretty much will grind everytime u try 4th at high revs, gonna try mt90, really really hope its the answer, otherwise im gonna go for a new box. like it was said these are 15 years old and not designed to take the sort of power we squeeze out of them.

got a short shift in my zed, and it seems that going into 4th at high revs seems impossible without crunching it 90% of the time, now i did put it down to not being familar with the car but my mate had the same problem, and someone else at the meet (sorry cant remember who) said they had a similar thing, any ideas?? as i dont know much about gear boxes. not particulary arsed if its fooked and needs replacing its one more thing to have peace of mind once its done but it is making me cringe every time it happened.

did some good deeds 2day! met a lad in ashford with a black 90 TT auto never heard of this site, so if your reading this now mate say hi! went for a spin and showed him what t28s can do! AND funnily enough met another guy on the hard shoulder on way to bluewater in a tt zed whod also never heard of the club (and had just had one huge fooking blow out!) we definetly need some official calling cards! j

ahh fook it, why not! looks like im coming now! not sure how much showing off ill be doing, paddle clutch and short shifter taking some getting used 2! stalled it plenty so far, starting to get the hang of it now. what times everyone gonna be there?
