  1. If it's TT spec then yes please mate that would be much appreciated.
  2. Thanks for the links, massive difference in price there ha. Will buy one in January and this will hopefully solve it.
  3. That's awesome thank you so much for the information. When I was testing the fan yesterday spinning by hand it was on a warm engine, I'll go out on lunch and check to see how it's moving with a cold engine. If there is no movement at all I think it might be time for a new fan clutch.
  4. My commute is only around 5 miles so it's not too bad.
  5. I'v been dailying mine since owning it, every night I tell myself I'll take the Focus to work tomorrow yet every morning I cant help but pick up my zed keys.
  6. Spinning in syrup is a pretty good way to describe it yeah. These fans are belt driven right? So I'm super confused why it's spinning so quick while idling just below 1k rpm.
  7. Spins with the engine off, can feel some resistance in it though not like a fan should feel.
  8. Viscous afaik, here's a video
  9. The thread title says it all really, on idle and when driving the engine fan seems to spin up extremely fast and the car sounds like a jet engine. After listening to Tom's car on idle I'm beginning to think maybe I have a problem here. I took a quick video of it after the car had been idling for a few minutes which I'll upload to YouTube shortly. Just wondering if any of you have seen this before? Thanks
  10. Quick update for you guys, I picked the car up last Saturday and had a lovely 150 mile drive home in it. No faults so far other than the gearbox feeling a bit hot after some spirited driving and the car sounding like a jet on idle. (not sure if this is normal? appears to be coming from the engine fan and is pretty constant) Anyway, they touched up the seat bolsters and I think they did a fantastic job and turns out it has an Altia rear panel (Credit Tom for enlightening me on this) Thanks again for all the good vibes and hope I can be an active member in the community, heres some vanity shots of the beast: https://imgur.com/a/aSC8C
  11. After a 3 hour drive home and a much needed nap I can proudly say I'm now a 300zx owner! I'm over the moon with the car and just need to wait out the UK registration period now. Would like to thank you all for you help with special thanks going to Tom and Mondo, you both went out your way to help and I likely wouldn't be in this position now without you. If you ever need any IT tech help, I'm your man. Now I guess iv just gotta look for nice things to buy for her while I wait...
  12. Mondo mate would love you take you up on that, any availability this weekend?
  13. You guys are honestly awesome  If it wouldn't put you out too much I'd love to have somebody with experience on these cars to give it a hammering
  14. Thanks for all the welcomes messages (: Tom, if you're free any evening this week I'd love to have a quick chat about a few things.
  15. I'm from Upton mate how about yourself? Also this will be my first Z32.
  16. Yes, that's the one. Fingers crossed it doesn't go before Saturday. I test drove it a couple of weeks back and everything seems pretty solid, the breaks felt like butter but I'm putting that down to age and something I can easily fix myself. The interior isn't in bad condition, it's just a bit of an old style and theres a rip on driver seat which they say they will repair. All the center consoles are in Japanese and nobody knows how to get them working so this can just be removed. Steering wheel certainly needs changed too. I'm happy to hear you don't have anything massively bad to report on it to be honest. T.mogsy, surprised to find another from the Wirral here, I can't say I'v seen any 300zx's on the streets around.
  17. Hey guys! Recently I have fellen in love with these cars and should be placing a deposit on one this weekend. The garage is an import warehouse based in Middlesbrough and the car is a recent import TT from 1991. I'm just wondering if anybody has had any dealings with thecarwarehouse.co.uk? and if the 1991 TT model has any known issues?
