  1. Nice one Jeff, I'll get it sorted and stop flapping  Thanks for the advice guys!
  2. Quick update, Had a friend call out yesterday evening to try and jump start the car, still unable to start however. All dash lights come on fine but when turning the key you just get the ignition clicking sound. Starting to think it could maybe be an issue with the immobilizer?
  3. I'll try jumping later tonight, failing that new starter motor it is!
  4. There is a warrenty, I'd have to look through and see what it includes. Haven't tried jumping yet as had no other cars to jump off this morning but I'll give it a go tonight. On the tries before I took the video it was alot more clunky sounding so I kind of dismissed a battery issue.
  5. Hey guys, sadly ran into another hopefully small issue with my 300zx. Came to start it this morning and I'm met with nothing but clunky clicking noise. It's been sat over the weekend and last run last week with no issues or problems. I took a quick video to give a better indication (: After speaking with a few friends think it could be a faulty starter motor ?
  6. Do you have any pictures of yours from this time?
  7. I like the wingless look, I'll be taking my '89 off this summer.
  8. Quick follow up, I managed to get a better condition fan off of Tom so fitted that along with the fan clutch and it's back to running nice. Ended up taking around 2 hours with some help, thanks for all the assistance my dudes. Was a pretty painless process with all the help  Took another vid too, sounding sweet as now.
  9. Recieved! Thank you
  10.:lol::lol: I unfortunately have to drive mine occasionally in the bad weather, so a little shower afterwards is the best I can do unless you have any more recommendations? It's already been wax under sealed when purchased.
  11. Happy Birthday :happybday:
  12. Wouldn't an underside / wheel arch water jet blast after a drive sort that out though?
  13. I'v also been looking at something similar, the price in your link seems very low though. Can you vouch for these exact ones?
  14. Some sort of gold/brass colouring? I think that would suit your paint.
  15. Quick update on this! I received Richard's clutch fan around a week or so back and finallyyyyyyyyy made time yesterday to fit it, as with everything though, nothing is as easy as it seems. First issue, my car is too low to fit my jack under and I had no wooden blocks to drive on to raise it. That's fine, maybe I can wing it with just unclipping the top half of the fan shroud. Second issue, finding the actual screws the shroud is attached with took longer than I'm willing to admit. I was eventually able to remove those after taking off a boost pipe covering the left screw and the right screw was fairly accessible anyway. I began to wiggle the shroud trying to unclip the top half to no avail so decide to take a closer look with the flash light and lo and behold my actual fan itself has a couple of inch long stress fractures along the middle of it. Great. So, instead of risking it I just put everything back as it was and went back inside for a cup of tea. Now it's time to source a new fan.
  16. Hi Chris! Welcome to the club, I'm a relatively new owner myself. I would recommend just posting up any potential cars you find here as other members will be able to give them a good look over and they will have likely been posted here and scrutinized in the past anyway. I was lucky enough to meet up with a local member Tom for a chat and Simon lived near the car I ended up purchasing so gave it a look over, I'm eternally thankful for this forum. In terms of your OP questions, I'v been dailying my 1991 TT import and have had no real issues other than its pretty thirsty. (Slight issue with a fan clutch but close to sorting this now again thanks to this forum!) I think it's just a case of regular maintenance, sorting problems as soon as you find them and keeping it washed and under sealed for these British roads. When buying I was looking for a fresh import with low milage and good condition, ideally I'd of wanted a manual but all prices were showing as over £10k for those examples. I settled for an auto and will be getting a conversion done later in the year. I'm nowhere as near knowledgeable as the other members here, but having gone through buying recently myself I hope I can shed some light.
  17. Forever metal will come first, I missed out on seeing machine head playing with slipknot due to splitting up with an ex and her having the tickets and not had another chance since. I'd like to share a recent song from my favourite band
  18. Hiya mate, may be worth having a search and a post here: https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?215-Zed-related-Parts
  19. I'll email them about it and hopefully get it removed and bootlid touched up at their cost, I don't think it would be worth the petrol cost to get it back down there for them to likely fob it off.
  20. I think iv decided against joining the big wang gang, will look sleeker without anything on the back. Are they just glued on do you know?
  21. They did sort it, by painting it a slightly different shade of white haha. Iv heard it's the nature of these spoilers to bubble though, just didn't think it would be so soon. Might just go spoilerless on it.
  22. Today I washed mine for the first time since ownership. Noticed lots of little print chips and blemishes along with my bonnet and spoiler being a complete different colour to the rest of the car. Worst of all though the spoiler has some slight bubbling starting to appear if you look closely.
  23. Richard you hero that would be greatly appreciated, it sounds like it's a hell of a lot less used than my current one so will hopefully do the trick. I'll PM you.
  24. Ah nevermind, really appreciate the offer anyway mate
  25. I feel like I'm an expert on the viscous fan just from this thread ? Thanks for the info guys. Is your spare TT or NA?
