300zx Z32 Twin Turbo Manual, LWB (UK Car) SOLD
Time to sell my UK 300ZX LWB Manual Twin Turbo, 1990, red bodywork with grey leather, located in SE London (Lee/Grove Park), postcode London SE12. Love the attention it gets but am hardly driving it as we have 3 other cars in the household so time it moved onto a new owner. I only ever managed to make it to one meet, wihich was the Ace Cafe in 2018.:) Unfortunately the MOT ran out in Oct 2018. I've not taken it a for a new MOT as the speedo is intermittent and I'm struggling to find someone close by to take a look. The only other likely faults are the foglight and horn. As the foglight was fixed last year this should be an easy fix, and I have purchased a new horn in case the old one has had it. Apart from that it had welding and balljoints done last year so hopefully no issues with these this time around. The car does get started for about 20 mins and moved around in my driveway (approx 25m x 10m) every month so enough to ensure nothing gets seized and no other issues. Battery does need to be jump boosted each time due to the lack of driving. All the details are below, mostly provided to me by the prev owner. I have a file of various receipts which I'll try to list afterwards. I'm looking for £5200 or nearest offer. Pictures were taken when I first bought the car so I'll need to wash, polish and take some fresh ones. Bodywork Body Kit with Wide Arch Kit. F40 Style Rear Light Cluster High Lift Spoiler Aviation Fuel Cap Engine/Exhaust/Wheels/Interior Competition Clutch (Sylvia Developments, good for 500 BHP) Stainless Steel Exhaust System Free Flow Air Filter Stage 3 Hybrid Turbos (Supplied by Turbo Developments) Larger Intercoolers Blow Off Valves Computerised Traction Control (unsure if this is still working) Stage 2 Chip (Superchips) Stage 1 Shocks Tensile Steel HKS Anti Roll Bars 4WS Delete Nylon Bushes Drilled Vented Disks/ Braided Hoses Chassis Brace Ebach Adjustable Springs Camber Adjustment Blocks 18" Image 3 piece Spit Rims (F40 design) Tyres 285 x 30 x 18 (Rear), 255 x 35 x 18 (Front) Grey Leather Interior Security and ICE Toad Alarm Clifford Immobiliser Kenwood KDC-BT710DAB ( BlueTooth Phone/Bluetooth Music Streaming/DAB radio, will try to add a new picture showing this !) Sub fitted in boot ( Came with car but not connected) Standard Spec 5 Speed Manual Power Steering Electric Windows and Mirrors Air Conditioning (does work and blows reasonably cold) Removable Targa Tops, with Targa Boot Storage Bags Space Saver Spare Wheel with Jack Supplied with original Titanium Key and two spare keys. Only one alarm key fob. Some other useful details you may wish to know : 1. Basic service done in Aug 2017 2. Work done on lights, ball joint and sills in Sep 2017 for MOT 3. Car is stored outside,on my driveway using a car cover. Since the MOT expired in Oct 2018 car is started every other month and moved around in my driveway. 4. Previous owner supplied a handwritten note with the full spec of the car. The same note indicated the water pump and timing belt was changed, but no real way to prove this. There are also receipts for service parts, turbo guarantee etc. 5. The pics show the interior with the orignal CD player. I still have the unit but this was removed after the new Kenwood head unit was installed. The car does have the following faults, none of which stop you from enjoying this fantastic car ! 1. The alarm operates the central door locking but doesn't unlock the drivers door or won't lock the passenger door. The auto electrician suggested the drivers side locking mechanism needs renewal. I have this item together with its wiring but never got it fitted. 2. One of the wheels has the centre cap missing. These are still available from Image Wheels. If the car sells close to the asking price I will supply a new one. 3. Digital Clock sometimes works sometimes doesn't. 4. One of the rear speaker is missing, although the grill is present. Will try to source a replacement. 5. The drivers side front speaker works intermittently, so the wiring could do with renewal. 6.The paint from a distance looks good. Closer inspection shows some paint chips where some panels join each other. Also the panels have been resprayed at different times so the colour match is not perfect and some overspray is present.

New 300ZX TT Owner in SE London
Hey JayJay and all, thanks for the welcome. Finally got the car through its MOT but what a painful experience. :cursing: Last time I had to get a car welded was over 25 years ago, though more recent experience with an auto electrician, (dashboard warning lights on a mini cooper s ). The strain on the wallet was to be expected but the hassle of finding reliable people, dropping the car off to them, having to take time off work etc was much more hassle than I expected. On the bright side it was a good way to learn and I know where to go should I need welding, basic servicing and auto electrics in my local area. Hopefully will try to do some stuff myself in the future. For the more serious stuff it will be Jimmer or Lee. Now that I have an MOT, time for me to become a subscriber member. Will also will treat myself to a head unit as the car came without one. I wanted a double din set-up but I'd need £150 straight away for a new double din console. Add £400 for the head unit plus some extra for a rear view camera (sad sod that I am !) and that blows the budget. So a cheapish Pioneer or Kenwood single DIN with Bluetooth and DAB it'll be. :punk:

New 300ZX TT Owner in SE London
Thanks for the warning ! Anyway took the car for its MOT and of course it failed. As the car was purchased 7 weeks before the MOT was due I couldn't get a fresh MOT so asking for trouble I suppose. Previous MOT had advisories and as the car had done very little mileage since, was expecting to have the same advisories so was expecting minimum hassle. Sadly not the case. :thumbdown:Needs both front sills welding, osf ball joint, plus rear foglamp and foglamp dashboard lamp not working. I'm checking to see what the local garages around SE London charge for the pleasure but am also thinking of taking the car to ZEDWORLD to get the above done and if there's any money left in the kitty, then some other work done. Will tell you how I get on.

Car is losing a bit of water even after a short drive. Temp gauge stays in the middle, no sign of overheating, and no glunk on the oil cap. On closer inspection I found the filler neck on the overflow tank was either broken or loose where it connects to the overflow tank. Couldn't easily check the water level in the expansion tank as I now realise the dipstick was broken, only half its original size ! Now have a replacement filler neck and overflow tank so will look to replace the filler neck and if necessary the overflow tank. Hoping that once the whole lot is put together then the water loss will be ok. Can't work out how to get to the overflow, I'm hoping removal of the front wheel and the wheel arch liner will reveal all. But before all that, the car's MOT runs out on the 23rd Sep so about to book it in. Had some advisories last year but has done very little mileage so hoping it will get through.
