  1. see if you can take some pics of your pulleys, maybe take your shroud off to get a better view. as far as i know there arnt any spacers but, the water pump pulley can be bolted on the wrong way round
  2. not too sure if they actually do anything noticable but worth having i think, all it does is links different parts of the engine and bay to creat a greater grounding affect. i shouldnt bother buying a kit. easily made with good 8 and 4 AWG I.C.E. cable.
  3. little tip bud, you may well have already though of this but, crack both plugs whilst the box is off, they could well be FT, will be a hell of a lot easyer when you come to fill it ;)
  4. where is the Zed and what area do you live in? i work for a large recovery company in the surrey area that has fully demountable beds, the problem your going to encounter is that most recovery companies will only recover to a maximum of 60 miles to get out of using tackos due to the new laws that have been brought in, also it will need road tax other wise the company has to have a special licence which many dont have

  14. its deffinatly not the wheel bearing, the play is in the third link
  15. just a quick one.... are there kits out there for the third link kingpin? if so, would these kits sort out excessive play in the steering knuckle or would that be a lower ball joint issue? cheers Mark

  18. just to close this thread.............. SHES BACK ON THE ROAD AND RUNS LIKE A DREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after all that it was just the plate stuck solid to the housing put it in gear clutch down started the enginge and off she hoped! then slowly came to a holt! JOB DONE :nana2: :nana2: :nana2:
  19. i did split the box and the pedal feels solid, the engines been out for a while in the cold environment of my garage, i was wondering weather the cluth plate had seized on the housing. theres one thing im gona try tomorow...... ive been told if you keep the clutch down, put it in first gear then start the engine, wait till she gets nice and warm, bring it up to high revs and let out the clutch. now this is what ive been told by an old work college of my old mans. by doing this it should relesae the cluch with an almighty bang and free its self!!!! eather that or blow the bloddy thing to bits :x: but before i do that, im gona try every other possible avenue you guys have come up with
  20. still no joy with the gear changing..... the system has been completely drained and bled through, no air at all!!! but still the same, when the clutch is down there is a noise which soulnds like the thrust bearing.... could it be that the slave cylinder rubbers have worn alowing the fluid to pass straight over them????
  21. cheers guy's...... and thanks wozzer :x: :x: lmao
  22. hummmm, when all else fails........... cheers bud
  23. nope, i havent completely drained it, but i have used around 1/4 litre  off to the shops to get some more fluid tomorow then, and drain her dry!! cheers Andy :duffer:
  24. atlast my tubs are on, the engines in and running but....... the bloody thing wont go into gear!!! its fine when the engine is off but its as stiff as hell when trying to put it into gear whilst she is running :headvswal ive bled the clutch through (4 pots worth) but still no joy. does this mean the clutch is knackered, it needs more bleeding or ive fitted it incorrectly?? any help please as ive got major zed withdrawals
