my deepest sympathies to everyone around him. i didnt know jerome particularly well but from the few times i did speak to him it didnt take long to reslise what an easy going, trusting and generally friendly chap he was. an absolutely tragic loss, he will be dearly missed. RIP Jay :cry:

as said before you will get many different opinions from many different people about what oil to use... a company called opieoils are our club trader for oils and have had a large imput on the forum regarding what oil to use. you may find these posts interesting to read. i personally dont use castrol gtx as i view it as one of the 'cheapies'. i have always stuck by the recommendation given to me from guy @ opieoils to use silkolene pros 10w50. it will set you back about 40quid for 5L but i call it reassuringly expensive! with that said i wouldnt panic and drain the oil out pronto, leave it in there until the next oil change (2-3k miles is what i do) and then consider using a more top end oil. btw, if you think castrol gtx is expensive, you obviously bought it from halfrauds... they have a generous mark up on all their prices! disclaimer/smallprint: all IMO HTH Joel
