  7. good plan athene... we will be your daughters! then again... we need to decipher the ins and outs of this contract we are involving ourselves in athene.. we need to decode the 'bringing home' and the 'turnover' statements... maybe we should check his books before we commit... we dont want any drop-out dad inheritance huh
  8. booked my tickets today  for any1 who is tempted... it worked out just over £120 per person for 6 people; that includes 6 entry tickets, 2 blue north pitches and return crossing on the eurotunnel for 2 cars. people who are looking at going in 09 and havent yet booked campsites, they are rapidly running out of space, most campsites are already full so get your booking in asap...

  12. heres my take on tyres... i dont drive my zed alot so dont need to replace the tyres too often. for this reason, when i do replace them i dont worry too much on cost. from my research the most expensive tyre that you can fit are the pilot sport michelins and they really are superb... however, they are very soft wear worryingly quick. i personally run goodyear eagle f1 assymetrics on mine... i did quite a bit of research into it before buying them and according to my findings the performance was as good if not better than the ps2's but they lasted longer and most importantly are a fair wedge cheaper! as a performance tyre, i rate them as the best all rounder and vfm. my last zed was a daily drive and i used to use mid range tyres on that. i tried falken fk452 but thought they were pants (though as a daily drive, plenty acceptable)... i tried kumho ecstas which, imo were better, but i never really found a mid range tyre that i was ovally impressed with. i guess really you pays ya money... but its finding the balance between how much money you spend on the tyre and how far they take you. oh and i buy all my tyres from camskill (click for 275/32R18 selection) as i have not yet found anywhere to make the price or service and have them fitted locally
  13. i think u lot have overlooked the real problem here... i think alans car is subject to the natural cycle of climate change. as he accelerates, the non friendly particles that are released cause a mini pocket of zonal ice age in a localised region. your findings are important to scrat in order to provide answers to the controversial debate that global warming is actually the start of an ice age. worry not however as the problem can be solved easily by the use of convector heaters and ghd hair straighteners... shall i get me coat?
  14. murt hasnt yet noticed the tippex over the 2 on the first digit of his mileage!

  19. my zed speedo always reads correct and the same as the gps... 0mph i havent driven it for fookin ages :(
  20. welcome buddy! generally speaking, the uk models are the ones which would tend to have service history and with the average mileage in the uk alongside the age of the car, they are generally gonna be enterprise mileage. the imports would be the lower mileage examples but unfortunately the service history system in japanland is not the same as here so cars very rarely come with any, if they do... 読みやすくない (which means.. 'its not easy to read' according to babelfish :D) my advice would be to chose very carefully with some1 who knows the car well and maybe has diagnostic software to help thoroughly check the cars you view. a good higher mileage example could still end up costing you alot less than a shed low mileage chancer! either way, if your looking to spend 3k, be prepared to spend the same again very easily if things go wrong! it is far from the easiest car to work on so its not just the prices of spares that are high its also the labour costs involved. all imo
