i bought my blazt cable from ebay... cost about 7 quid iirc. the software is more expensive as they add shipping when you checkout but they refund that when you register it :)

if it were me... i would take a conzult and do several checks including the cylinder drop compression check. id be asking why he has new tubbies for it as if they need changing its an engine out job. also, its a uk car so id make sure i had a bloody good look all round for rust, especially underneath with a bright torch. of course carry out all the norm checks you would before buying a car
