forget about the age of the car or the psychological factor of owning a 'newer' zed... if you buy a 96 model you are paying more money and getting less. this is especially the case if your on a limited budget... get yourself a good s2 rather than pay a premium for a later model that nissan scrimped and saved on by taking bits off and lowering the quality. its also a good arguement that the availability of spares could be a problem for the later models, fair enough a good proportion of the car is the same but if you do need that special piece there are not as many around to break. not sure what later model owners do regarding an ecu upgrade but it certainly isnt as simple and cheap as the earlier models. all food for thought but if you ask me the s2 is the one to have :)

couple of other exhaust Q's :)
i bet the hks will sound awesome compared to the japspeed... any1 of them that iv heard sounded too tinny. but as said, single exits dont do anything for the back end cosmetics.

Hi, Anyone like this rear bumper??
he will complain about the swage line... otherwise i dont think he will hate it. the rest of the car is not ott and that bumper is fairly tame compared to others... i quite like it but would also prefer it if it had the oem swage line ;) and maybe paint the diffuser area black

Bugger, Damn and Blast...
i was pretty lucky really damage wise... as said it didnt damage the windscreen and the bonnet still shuts straight... the bonnet has gone a bit ripply and it's turned up the back corner on the drivers side. now have to add some scuttle trims to the queue of bits to buy!.. the bonnet snubber mod just got a raised priority though  .. wheres that bloody thread :smw:

Bugger, Damn and Blast...
Was trying to track down quite a big boost leak today around the idle control valve area when a big gust of wind came out of no where, picked up my bonnet and flipped the fooker over the windscreen :( its bent the bonnet and cracked the scuttle trim

Rear camera/brake light combo
if your going to be using centrafuse or something similar and you want your rear view camera to work with that... it wont! it would have to use an alternate channel of the monitor. if your anything like me, you want everything skinned and controllable from the front end software... in which case a usb camera is the only way :D

Never seen one of these before.
back end looks like a jap saab!

Just got back after getting stuck on the m25 car-park! Thanks again for the parts chappie, was good to meet you and a shame to see such a beast of a zed seeing its final days :( ... just to let any1 know and to reassure, Chris is a top bloke, a very genuine seller. I have been selling loads of bits and bobs recently to buy some decent anti-roll bars in an attempt to make the zed semi trackable (a start to things to come) and give jimmy some company... Chris replied to my thread i put up asking for 2nd hand arbs only hours before i was going to commit to some new ones... he said he had some and was breaking the whole car... i looked at his rides spec... i bugged the mrs to rob money from the mortgage fund  and topped up the money i had already made for zed goodies! Chris has spent the last few days being hassled by my pm's  dibsing whatever my budget could stretch to... i went to his house today with my shopping list and have loads of prezzies for the zed! Unfortunately my budget couldnt quite stretch to include the os giken box... but i gave it a bloody good shot ;) cheerZ Chris, good luck with the breaking and falling into the same trap with your m3 (the mods are already underway ;))- Congratulations to August's COTM Winner.
well done bud... a thoroughly deserved win - FAO FunkySi
there are loads of options available for lowering springs though... make sure you research ;)- FAO FunkySi
i bought some chassis dynamics avo springs from dan@dta... they are listed as a 35mm drop all round but i think the rear is slightly less as the arch clearance sits perfectly level... if it was a 35mm drop front and rear the rear would look too low and imo look silly. they are a very good price for what they are, the comfort levels are perfectly bareable and makes the car, what i would class as, very 'streetable'. i think performance wise they will be 'as' good as the tein s techs. http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/products/product_info.mhtml?product=3948217 ignore the rideheight in my sig as that is lowered on eibachs (and lowered some more with photoshop!... notice how the front arch clearance sits higher even after i tried to sort that on ps ;)) the picture below shows the stance with the avos, as you can see it has an even arch clearance (which the likes of eibach pro spring kit etc dont give). also bare in mind that i installed these with brand new kyb agx so if your putting them on old oem shocks it could be considerably lower... - Found this on a classic car website
