  1. Although its funny you should say that as I've recently considered the possibility of driving here! Work pay for all of my flights so I wonder if I can exchange the flight tickets for £1736 in super unleaded?
  2. Haha nah, it was a nice example, not some clapped out old wreck with wind turbines for wheels and tiny brakes!
  3. Shame I didn't have any calling cards
  4. 20/10/12 2pm parked up in the old town. Silver, standard bodywork with nice shiny deep dish wheels. Club member?
  5. I agree, find a reputable brand with 6" versions...
  6. Happy birthday Mike :)
  7. And that! Which renders a carpc pointless IMO as the main reason for having one would be the versatility of application.
  8. It could be used to run a car pc but it would struggle to run software such as centrafuse etc. The biggest downfalls I can see is the lack of sata ports for hdd expansion, the audio output quality will be pants without a decent sound card and the lack of extra USB connectivity. In my carpc I have 11 peripherals connected via USB and a few of them throw a paddy if being connected through a hub. You can get a decent m-atx based carpc for that which will do everything you need and more without taking masses of space.
  9. What everyone else has been saying...
  10. The wingtip lights will be nav lights, the inboard lights are landing lights. Gaz mentioned earlier that he thinks the light is green. If he's right then it's a dead giveaway as the right wing (looking from the rear, facing forward) nav light is green and the left wing, is red. Not sure I can see the green myself.
  11. Some interesting points and opinions...
  12. So, is this aircraft heading towards, or away from the moon? Discuss :)
  13. Wowsers, you have found the golden ticket! Have you not read the part in the enthusiasts manual where it talks about the lost master key on the production line... It has the same picture! Nissan ran a discrete campaign to try and retrieve it but it has still not been found to this day...
  14. Oh bugger the front fell off... Sorry what? The one in the first pic where the front fell off! Medicine?
  15. I remember seeing a Chrysler PT cruiser with music symbols airbrushed all over it and the plate MU51CAL which I thought was pretty cool :)
  16. The high level spoiler would come in handy if you pulled into tesco to find they had no trolleys left!! Other than that, don't get a 99 spec... Or a high level... Helpful? All IMO of course :)
  17. I bought my 1st zed in 2005 when I lived in Bournemouth. I had always wanted one and decided it was time to take the plunge. I searched for over 18 months literally trawling the country with the wife searching for 'the right car'! After about a year of searching, and having seen 'lots of zeds', I'd pretty much given up, 85% of the cars I looked at were in a sorry state and the others didn't tick the boxes. My only criteria was to be a tt manual in good nick for a daily driver. After about 6 months of not actively looking a lad from work came in with a local newspaper that id never heard of called the 'new forest post' with a 300zx for sale in it. The ad was very vague and didn't have much info so it thought I'd give the seller a call. Turned out to be a grey UK tt auto with almost 100k miles. As it was only up the road I decided to have a butchers and knew I'd buy it as soon as I saw it! I sacrificed the manual for the sake of finally owning a Z32 and as it ran very well and was well maintained I wasn't too worried about the mileage. I did around 30k miles in it over the next couple of years as a daily driver and it didn't miss a beat, I actually quite enjoyed many aspects of the auto box as a daily. Once I hit about 120k it developed a smoke issue on idle and I also noticed small areas of bubbling on the sill. By 2007 my situation had now changed as I had relocated to Stansted and I no longer used the car as a daily drive. Due to the smoke I very rarely used the car and devised a plan. My options were, get it tidied up/repaired or sell up and buy another. Having now been in this community for a while, it was more common to see 'decent cars' up for sale fairly regularly, I sold my UK spec and started a new hunt for a tt manual. I quickly stumbled across my current car from a forum trader which was a fresh import manual tt and I took the plunge! I had some early mechanical issues with the car but after some warranty claims (long story but a good ending) and ploughing some money in I came out with a product that far exceeded my expectations and have been enjoying it ever since. I have no plans to get rid at this stage, although I have been tempted by a porka 997 911. However, as it would be the cheaper, 'carrera' model, not the turbo, I can't help but feel I would be regretful for the relative lack of power. The refinement would be nice but I can't see myself parting my zed in the near future.
  18. Before you buy anything expensive, I would advise a simple brake fluid change/flush and see how it feels.
  19. Do you know what spec/thickness the ally is?
