  1. I could recommend a very good place near me. They have done quite a few Z's, including mechanicals such as engine removal. They won't be cheap though and are a long way from home for you. There are a few forum members to keep in mind too, Allan @ bodymech would be able to help, Keith has recently painted a members car, Lee Dent or Jimmer could be employed to pull and reinstall the engine before and after if needed.
  2. It depends where you take it. You could find quotes from 1500 quid to 10000+. Your best bet is to source some local, reliable, reputable companies and get a quote. Be sure to check out the work they do/have done for as long as you can and whichever seems to offer what you want, go for them [emoji106]
  3. Are you sure they're transferable Ian?
  4. Don't like them, I tried to order a Citroen but messed up my online order - had to deal with it. Will probably get rid of it soon.
  5. I read all of that and wasn't greeted with the picture from your window and the end [emoji34]
  6. Hopefully the same as we've had the previous few years?
  7. Andrew stop being silly, you're wrong. There's no way that Marketing brochure by Nissan is correct, Wiki is independently verified so I'm with Ali on this one (sarcasm meter full scale deflection).
  8. I'm still glad I removed my aerial. I do understand why you guys like it and I get the retro cool thing, but I had no real reason to keep mine. On my first zed I regularly used the FM radio and my electric aerial was forever up and down (time it right when turning the ignition on and going straight the the boot - and the aerial would try spearing you up the nostril!!), but I don't think I've ever used the telescopic aerial on my red Z. I mainly use Spotify or radio via an app so I really did become redundant. Having seen Simon and others smooth it over, I decided to do the same as I think it looks a little neater across that rear quarter and it's one less "pain in the ass" area to detail! It's not going back, neither is the rear wiper for the same reasons, much the same reason why I have a twinz rear spoiler and not a stock spoiler. As for the HICAS, yes that's staying [emoji106]
  9. Hmmm, sounds like you're priming is for a big announcement/reveal [emoji848] What have you done Vijay? [emoji16][emoji1]
  10. That looks amazing [emoji7][emoji106]

  13. The tyre heights won't be different sizes, that's the point. The number that dictates the sidewall height isn't a direct unit measurement (like the width which is in mm), it is a percentage of that width in mm. As shown in Richard's calculations, 35% of 265mm is an equivalent dimension to 40% of 235mm. If you chose a 235/35 tyre for the front, then your tyres will have different heights. Tyre sizes are a bit like JaiKai's garage/workshop plans, they contain a mixture of different unit measurements!
  14. I heard that you blew a load of smoke into him and it all pissed out of his rusty hole?
  15. Anything hiding a standard reg plate is a good thing in my opinion, although personally I think it would look better with the backing/background in black.
  16. Yours is very rusty Simon, holes everywhere.
  17. Not my cup of tea, but I've not seen anything like this before. (Ignoring the engine bay modifications and V8 install!):
  18. What strut brace are you wanting to fit sayers?
  19. My interpretation of Jeff's post is that this car is with the guy (in the UK) who he used to use for the welding repairs etc. [emoji106]
  20. It's a cabin temp sensor Richard. The fan draws cabin air across it so the climate control can modulate the correct temp. If the fan fails, airflow across the temp sensor decreases causing the probe to operate inefficiently and normally causes bizarre temperatures from the climate control. I installed a mic in the centre of the mirror base trim on mine and it looks pretty subtle (The trim piece that pops off to undo the mounting screws for the rear view mirror).
  21. It's going to look fantastic when finished and is exactly what I aspire mine to look like one day. [emoji41][emoji106]
  22. From the tickets. I've just received my 3rd set of identical tickets via email!
