  1. I can't remember exactly how the cover comes off - I think there is a screw under the wheel holding it on but could be wrong. Once that's off there's a single large lock nut which needed a good hefty bar to get off on mine. Then you need a special mounting hub from http://www.takakaira.com or similar. A standard hub from most suppliers won't do on a Z as you need bits for the HICAS :( I think it cost about £80 or something and will mount to any standard aftermarket wheel. Bolt that on and bolt the Momo wheel to it. The new wheel will come with a new horn button that plugs onto the existing harness. The cruise buttons are a bit more tricky. The best way is to take the old buttons off your stock wheel and mount them in the centre console or somewhere, then run 3 extension wires down from the steering column to the buttons. I bought a snap-off hub kit too at about £80 for what to me seems like the ultimate in security. I'd like to see someone drive my Z with no steering wheel! :D It's a dead easy job to be honest once you've got the HICAS hub.
  2. Yeah I wouldnt use red stuff again. I originally bought green stuff but the wrong pads were in the correctly marked box - they looked like something out of a Fiesta! Called EBC and they said they would swap them no problem but I should be using red stuff on a big car like a Z so they sent me those instead. I put them on and found the brakes to be completely useless when cold in the morning - I could hardly stop at the junction at the bottom of my road! When they warmed up after a couple of miles they were superb, no fade and great stopping power. 2 months later they were down to the metal! Works out at about £45 a month for pads FFS LOL They would be great for a track day but for general use they don't last. I have heard they have changed the compounds since but I won't be trying them again :(
  3. Yeah I've seen them but it looks a bit odd from some angles. It also means you have to alter the position of the main bulge on the bonnet to blend in so its not something you can add later. I'm getting a new nose panel made up at the moment based on a Bomex design.
  4. On the vent/bulge I have the hole makes the water run down in front of the engine/behind the fan. So not really a problem. The other vents under the bulge at the windscreen don't get water into them.
  5. No, it's because more people like Roy are coming OUT! That colour is far too gay for a real man's Z... but maybe that's not a problem for you! ;) :D
  6. So it's going to look better than the Humber Bridge then after all this time? :D

I use Uranium plugs, awesome performance but I'm having trouble pressing the pedals with all the growths developing on my legs. So much for weight saving...
  8. Big Yay from me. It has reduced the temp under the bonnet by a huge amount.
  9. Mark, I'll be wanting one of these if you want to share the delivery. I'm after a hefty RPS clutch and flywheel so I think I better get one. How much are they? Doesn't seem to have a price on the JUN site. If it's JUN probably $500 LOL
  10. LMAO! Yes they do look seriously cool but I made a shit job of doing mine and close up you could see a couple of runs. I also put too much on as I didn't realise how much darker it got as it dried! I put higher wattage bulbs in as is sometimes needed but they were still too dark. You can clean it off with a solvent if you make a mess of it though. I made the mistake of doing them on the car when they recommend you take the lights out and lay them flat to spray 'em. I didn't and got the runs! Maybe that was the vindaloo... ;) Jeez! My car has changed since these were taken! The wheels are for sale with almost brand new tyres if anyone is interested. Whose are those P.O.S red and white Z's? :D
  11. Bloody hell mate! How long ago was it you ordered the kit?!?! Makes my wait look like a slight delay.
  12. Make sure you get a set of tyres with the rim protection feature. It has saved my alloys from getting scrateched many a time. I know Fulda, Bridgestone, Toyo? have it and a few others. You can fit 295/35's on a 10" wheel :D
  13. They look really nice but... they are for left hand drive only!? :(
  14. Yes you are not allowed the front and rear fogs on the same switch but tell a dodgy importer that! My Jap Z has the indicator light on the front fog switch in the right hand "pod". In a UK Z this switch is for rear fogs only. Another switch was added in the edge of the instrument cluster for the rear fog lights.

If you want an original one they start around £250000 ;) or a kit for £20K ish! Don't know which Jay is buying... :D
  16. Motion styling have loads of catalogues of different wheels, a lot of which i've never seen before. Also it's 99% of what they do - the whole shop is just full of wheels and almost nothing else.
  17. Me, Macca and Timmy Turbo got our Azev's from Motion Styling in Bradford. Good price and very friendly service. I'm sure they'll remember me in my silver Z so mention my name and see if you can scrounge a discount ;) http://www.motionstyling.co.uk They were looking for some huge alloys for a new Lambo Murkywotsit last time I was there! Imagine buying one of those then changing the wheels! LOL cash to burn I suppose :D
  18. It definately does cut the injectors as when my TC earth lead came loose the car turned over and had a spark but no fuel. It took me ages to find why the car wouldn't start!
  19. LMFAO After a night out that's the funniest thing I've seen in a long time :D Here's the other one: http://www.miniclip.com/bushaerobics.htm :D
  20. You fools! Everyone knows you use a tin of beans and sausages for maximum output :D
  21. LMFAO Well it made me laugh anyway. I'm sure I recognise the pic by Roy... ;) Maybe not :S LOL Comedy on demand :D
  22. I'm from near Leeds/Harrogate if you fancy a race ;) I hope you win with my current spec :D
  23. I want to read something funny here! Off on a beer hunting mission and may be some time... :D
  24. I've had lots of beer and just cant stop laughing :D LMFAO
