  1. LOL If the revolution/speed sensor is faulty then the auto box can misbehave and sometimes flashes the dash lights when you switch the ignition on. It will cause the HICAS light to come on and the power steering malfunctions - it goes very heavy when parking and light at high speeds causing it to be difficult to keep in a straight line, the opposite of what it should do. The speedo sometimes drops back to zero too. Had my sensor replaced and it sorted all this.

My "favourite" is the twats who refuse to overtake a truck/caravan/tractor etc. They sit doing 30mph or whatever for 15 miles and usually manage to find another t0sser with the same attitude to sit behind them, blocking everyone from overtaking  They never leave a gap so you can get in front of them and they are usually so close up the arse of the truck that they can't see past to spot an overtaking place  This is not a problem in the Z as you can blast past at 90+ and humiliate the mini convoy they created but in a normal car it makes me furious! Reminds me of an article I read in Auto Express magazine a few months ago where some old geezer wrote in to say how overtaking is incredibly dangerous and should be banned! LMAO It just explains these people's attitudes. Can you imagine the jams if you were never allowed to overtake?! They are all winkers ;)
  3. You need a JWT chip designed for 555's. A standard JWT chip is mapped for the stock injectors and won't work with the bigger ones. Also on the shopping list don't you need all the O rings/seals etc for the injectors?
  4. Is this what you are trying to do? I could tell you but I'd have to kill you! ;) LOL Give me your lurvely seats and I'll trim it all for you :D
  5. They are the ONLY people to see if you ask me. In the last couple of years they have done a lot of the most modded Z's on this forum - Macca, Timmy Turbo, DaveW, Vijay and mine. (I'm sure there's a few more I've forgotten) Here's a pic of my baby at PPS (Needed a dust off after sitting for a week but you get the idea)
  6. I'm after one of these too! Let me know if you find a supplier. I've only ever sold 2 of these Qube's and BOTH power supplies have blown. They must be underated or just plain crap! I got the first replacement from a company called Equinox but I believe they went bust and the other company I tried never called back after being chased 3 times :(
  7. Cheers Mark, THAT'S what I was after!
  8. Has anyone put the heated seats from a series 2 car into a series 1? How are they wired up to the buttons on the centre console? Is it part of the main harness or just direct to the seats? How easy a job would it be?
  9. No that was a list of bits required for the manual conversion. I'm now getting a Z with everything in and just got to transfer it across but I don't know what gaskets etc if any will need replacing. I'll check his post again just in case...
  10. I'm hopefully going to be putting a manual engine and box into my auto Z in the next month or 2. I'll be taking the lot out of a scrapped car and putting it straight into mine. What gaskets, seals, mounting stuff will I need to replace when moving it all over? I need to get a shopping list together. Chris.
  11. What adhesive do you use? Is butter OK or do you recommend marmalade? Also, should it be toasted first?
  12. Do you need forged pistons to get the most out of one of these? :D
  13. Yeah! You can't beat a big spoiler on a Z. Cool, looks like another batmobile!
  14. I did mine ages ago with Foliatec Caliper Lacquer and it does look superb. It is much thicker than normal paint and gives a really smooth finish. Just used a normal silver touch up pen to go over the lettering afterwards and it's never come off.
  15. Why are jugs so fantastic? :D
  16. Don't mean to put you off as this is also my dream car but read a review of used supercars in a mag a few months ago and a clutch replacement is £6K!!!! One guy had to change it twice in a year! I'd still buy one if I had £50K though :D
  17. You could get loads of hard pipe kits from a howitzer or tank barrel :D Bet he's making a fortune, shame the Iraqi's never chromed their tanks! They may as well have done it as the desert paint scheme didn't help them much! :D LOL
  18. Sounds like I may be get flames out the back of the engine then? Might help acceleration... :D or I might have a fire...
  19. Standard are 370cc I think
  20. I had my PCV's and hoses changed recently but wasn't aware of these restrictors... Chances are the guy threw the old hose in the bin complete with restrictors. What do they do and will this be a problem?
  21. LMFAO Jezz!
  22. I thinks it's bad news mate :( Some plonker overtightened my bottom hose during a service and it cracked off like yours. I had to buy a new rad a month later when I dscovered it :( I have my old rad that you might be able to take the sides off and swap the part you need but I don't think Nissan supply the pipe on it's own. I couldn't wait around so had to buy a new one. New rad is £270 + fitting from Nissan I think but have seen a couple of uprated ones since for less. The one Warren got looks good - maybe he will organise a group buy ;) LOL
  23. Saw a nice one at a local dealer near Leeds today. Import Non-turbo Manual box Red G Reg. 58000 Miles (94000Km) Cloth seats 2x 4" chrome pipes out the back. Bodywork looks mint Engine started great and sounds dead smooth but looked a bit mucky. Don't know how it drives but looked a good 'n. The sales guy said it was on their website but I can't find it at the moment. Might not have updated yet. http://www.redline-racing.co.uk/
  24. No it's a suction noise that I get. It only takes a split second to equalise the pressure, then you may see fumes circulating back out as the air has rushed in. IMHO and could be wrong... Chris
