  1. My traction control has stopped working since fitting the new digital adjuster and can't work out if its a faulty adjuster or the serial port on the TC box has stopped responding. Need someone to plug a laptop in with the Racelogic software and check it's communicating. I'd do it myself but my laptop motherboard died last week :( Anyone in the Leeds/Harrogate area this weekend?
  2. The standard sender is very unreliable and a common fault on these cars so not a good idea. You're not putting a new gauge in cos the old one stopped working are you? If so it will be the sender that's faulty. Boost gauge just connects to one of the vacuum pipes on the plenum.
  3. Trying to sort out payment, will be in touch over the weekend.

The Cayenne Turbo is VERY quick but wouldn't have thought it would beat a Skyline round a track, no way. I had a bit of a race with a Cayenne Turbo on a dual carriageway and got past him but I wasn't a lot quicker. My Z probably had around the same power at the time, I think they are about 450bhp? If it had been off the line his weight would have killed it though. If I had the cash and HAD to have a 4x4 I'd probably get the VW Touareg V10 diesel. It's got about the highest torque figures on the road, can pull up trees and think it outruns the Porche in a lot of circumstances.
  5. You can find your own tent in future!
  6. Remember the system is pressurised so if you have to take a pipe off leave it overnight or you'll get sprayed with petrol :o The other way is to take out the fuel pump fuse and run the car until it stalls. Easier to see the Fuel Pressure Regulator here:
  7. If you look at the red bracket on smithy's fuel hoses that clips them together you'll see the Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR) underneath it and one of the red connectors on the hose is coming out from under the engine centre cover and fastens onto it. It's a small mushroom shaped thing with 3 pipes going into it. The most common leak is on the bottom pipe of the FPR as it's a pain to get to and has a short piece of pipe about 2 inches long that's hard to tighten up depending on how the clips were put back. 90% sure that's your problem.
  8. I thought we all signed our lives away and swore to use the traders on here as part of our membership...or else :x:

  15. No it's a previous model to the current range, de-badged 1.6 or something LOL If he didn't live so close I'd have said something "appropriate" LOL but like to keep on good terms with the neighbours  The neighbour next door to him (3 doors up the street) is a silly cow and once had a go at me about the noise when I was running it on my drive after giving it a service. At 3pm on a saturday afternoon she came storming out shouting that she couldn't hear her TV for my car. Told her to press the volume button on her remote LOL

  21. Just finished polishing my gleaming pride and joy of a Z and one of my neighbours comes over and says "Where's it been?" So I explained it went in for forged pistons etc and took longer than expected but should be awesome when it's run in and I'm looking forward to a trip to the Nurburgring in June. "You want to get rid mate. Get it in the trader someone will have it" :o  :xxx:
  22. Maybe your steering wheel is loose :x:
  23. Air temp makes a HUGE difference. Depends how good your controller handles the spikes. I think some of the boost controllers can make corrections for this (and also altitude) but most don't.
  24. Hello stranger! How you doing mate? :D
