  1. yeah phil at c&s wood is an absolutely awsome fella, has done plenty of work for me, my zed is there as we speak having an engine rebuild and new tubs, u probably saw it there dave on the ramp a red one with the strosek kit on it, he is very good on the zeds and the nicest fella i know allways helping me out, thumbs up to ya phill.
  2. got the p zero assimetrico on mine but but havent done many miles yet, only thing i dont like is that there is no rim protector on the tyre so you scuff your alloys on the curbs, bad driving !!!

  4. im in north wales by anglesey!! well ffs!! ended up having to pay for 2 new tubs!! they wanted £1400 tw@ts was told there was grit in the engine and caused falire, so told them i had a pair before off them for £800 as a special gesture for failed warranty and if they didnt give me the same price this time i would go to turbo dynamics!!! so they gave in and sent me a new pair for £800 :)
  5. andy thats exactly what i was thinking, oem ones seem to go on for ever!!! well will deffo be fighting my corner this time this is the second set in less than a year where in wales u from martin as a few new zeds have turned up around me!!
  6. oh dear more spending!! right then one seized engine and now my 11month olb new tubs one of them has end float ffs!! have just sent them off to turbo technics to have a look at them but i dont know if the warranty will pay for them :headvswal why am i thinking this :nelson: well last year yep the engine f@cked up on me and ruined the bearings in the tubs, turbo technics had a look on them under warranty and decided not to pay to fix them leaving me with a bill for £800 for new cores :nelson: so what do i say to them this time?? they dont smoke at all but there is end float in one of them!! any help much appreceated dewi.

  10. c'mon you guys, has anyone contemplated converting there beloved zed to gas with the rising fuel prices??? :smash: im only asking as a friend in work has converted his audi coupe 5cyl 2 gas and he is saving a packet!! :dance:

  16. yeah still got the bottle, but i gave them the batch number to check?? one good thing is that they have paid to have the engine removed which is good saved a packet there!!
  17. so what performance will i have with a manual engine running auto tubs, and auto gearbox??
  18. ok then anyone know the difference bettwen an auto tt zed engine and a manual tt engine?? i think the cams are diffrent but that is it im sure?? i am fitting a tt manual import engine im my uk auto tt zed with the auto turbos will i see a diffrence in performance?? cheers
  19. hi all as you know ive been waiting for the wynns engineer to look at my engine as the bearings went straight after i added the wynns stop smoke stuff, well he came today and said that the failure was due to contaminants in the engine not due to the wynns stuff typical get out clause!!! well there is nothing i can do now is there if that is his report they wont pay for a new engine for me :mad:

  21. been there done that mate, got my ex to choose a tatoo for me, the moment we finished i got it covered in tribal shit LOL!!
  22. there has to be one hasnt there yep i have done it on my zed drilled the disks but i changed them to ebc disks afterwards, my advice is dont do it as the brakes were worse and they warped after i drilled them
  23. i'll keep you all posted guys, hopfully next week the engineer wil be on the case and looking for his way out, lets hope the problem is obviousley theirs!!
  24. took my zed up 2 phil at c&s wood today, story goes like this, smokey smokey engine small trip to halfords to buy some stuff called stop smoke you add it to the oil!! an even shorter trip later and the engine sounds like 2 hammers knocking each other ffs called the firm that makes the stuff and so far they have agreed to pay for the diagnostic of the engine and if found to be their fault will pay for a new engine problem is how does the mechanic prove to the engineer who has to inspect it that it was the stop smoke stuff, cos it is a very thick additive and has, i bet clogged up the oil ways!!!
