Nick in the boot on the drivers side near the ariel there is a small black box with roughly 12 wires going to it ..inside it is is a fused wire bridge .. customer of mine blew his ... few dabs of solder sorted it though

Sounds like your bearings bud . had the same problem on mine ... changed em and no problems now .. but check the pads .. i knew it wasnt mine as id changed the disks and calipers the week previous John oh n by the way make sure u have a 27mm socket .. theres a huge bugger bolt on the back of the hub
