Ill have a look and see what colour the injectors are in a bit Tbh im fairly sure the cars not a veilside car just a replica as the engine bay is still silver so is inside the bootlid, veilside would of painted there, im just assuming on some parts going on an old advert i found after i bought it as the place i got it from didnt know much about it other than its a 300zx which is why i got it for £300

Ill dig an injector out in the week and put a pic up, i know the exhaust or at least the back boxes are different but not sure on others

I found an old for sale ad for the car and in the listing it said hks intercooler but the pics show a universal one im now thinking what else on the mods list isnt there

Couldnt justify spending £20 on intercoolers just to be able to move the car around the workshop when ill be refitting a front mount for when it goes on the road thanks for the offer though It did have a centre mounted intercooler before it was crashed in 2013 this is what it looked like before the damage

Never even had that thought when doing that with the pipes ill look into changing it when i get a chance as itd be easier to move the car around like that

just assumed it was limp mode as last time it ran was with no intercooler and wouldnt go past 3k, now with the bodged pipes it does so maf is getting air though it now revs over 3k

needs a few bits but no big rush for them, main one is an engine rebuild as its very smokey, while the engine is out ill be welding in a front corner as mines bent

Got this 1990 twin turbo manual for £250 last year and been slowly doing bits to it when i get a chance Looked like this when i got it Bought a dent puller for in work and pulled the dent out on the quarter While the filler was out i sorted the bonnet too Swapped the bent lower arm a few days ago Car wouldnt rev over 3k as its missing the intercooler so bodged up some pipework inplace so itll come out of limp mode

Ive not started with it, ive check spark fuel cas got coolant sensors on order detonation sensor needing rewiring, compression test was only done as i have the kit to do it so it was just done to tick it off the list of tests i can do to help towards the finding the problem

Unable to do a warm test as it wont run this was part of diagnosis on the problem of non starting

Mileage shows 112 not sure if mikes or kilometers as its an import, test conditions were all spark plugs removed, injectors left in, engine cold as it doesnt currently run so was testing to see if compression could be a cause for non running

Just compression tested my tt and got average of 133psi on 5 cylinders got 50psi on cylinder 6, is 133 good for one of these engines? Whats the most likely cause for 6 to be less than half of the others?

Been reading that early cars have constant 12v to injectors causing them to fail could that cause this? First time the cars had a battery fitted for 3 ish years

No new loom, ran sat afternoon then afterwards i checked the codes got 34 detonation sensor so looked at that found some bad wiring on it but left it connected so only difference between now and sat afternoon is some insulation tape has been taken off some bare wire but not enough to cause a short

Car ran at the weekend enough to be able to move it i needed to move it again today but it wouldnt start, its getting fuel to the injectors and a spark how can i test if fuel is going through the injectors? Is there anything else that can cause it to not start?

Thats the 4 pipes i have those 2 plus the 2 in the other pics, car had a front mount but when i bought it it was missing as well as the bent pipes in the other pics
