  1. Ah so you have found the onion! My favourite reliable news website: http://www.theonion.com/section/science-technology/ PS the whole website is satire ;)
  2. To clarify the NA is smaller, and the clutch is rated less than the TT counterpart.
  3. It would give an incentive for registered users to subscribe???
  4. Yesterday but hey. Fed a wire from front fog to the rear so the fogs lights run off the same button so I can rid that horrible button in the centre console. Split the centre panel chambers for fogs at the top and reverse lights at bottom Modified the reflectors in the rear bumper to house a bulb and wired into the side light loom. And fitted on the (last?) 99 rep rears from phtumsch
  5. And so we know whos car is whos...
  6. In a way it's nice it was raining as you can see the cars reflections on the ground. Adds an atmosphere.
  7. Coventry 2017 film (The shakey shots look like ass but I need a better camera)
  8. Art213 would put his gearbox into '1' then '2' and then into drive. I think he said the sprag gears were broken. Does your car drive if you put it in '1'?
  9. I saw your zed at Lees btw. Paint's gone downhill eh? Big scrape in it
  10. Perhaps I should rewrite the tutorial to use imgur instead. Anyway back on topic :)
  11. No red one. I diagnosed today Throttle sensor circuit fault Lock up solenoid fault So in essence, it only changes to overdrive at about 85 mph which is no good. Basically even if I do try to change the lock up solenoid, I'm half way done to a manual swap and I have accidentally also got another manual donor :innocent:
  12. Has Funkybucket acted up again?
  13. Journey yesterday was 11.4 mpg :( Broken gearboxes suck
  14. I've been off for the last few days, so video edits are still in the process. So here is a little 'photoshoot' we stopped for And it looks like google photos put something together for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVogq8dDrU
  15. Spotted on the travels yesterday.
  16. Also trip to Keith's and respray details are laid out. Rust repairs will have to be redone properly to be safe, and we found another rust hole in front of the rear wheel. Oh well.
  17. Many thanks to Lee Dent as always. Last minute warning and diagnosed the missfire swiftly, running on all 6 again and much smoother now. Top bloke
  18. Just so you know, with an na engine there is not a lot of headroom for the engine as in upgrade paths. If you push it any further it's going to go pop so it really needs a TT engine or forged before any further upgrades.
  19. You will find a TT for that money, a manual slightly harder but still possible. If it's an na with a forged engine, it hopefully doesn't have the compression of the na which I've been told doesn't like to take any more than 6psi. For reliabilities sake look for a TT imo. Be patient and keep any eye on what's for sale. Something will come up but as others have said it won't be mint at that price. May need a respray or some light mechanical work but should be MOT'd and driveable.
  20. Only one thing I would change and that's the FAQ for the forum, and maybe add to it? Make it more visible so that new users can upload photos and all that.
  21. +1 more also. I won't tell Simon who though it will be his surprise
