  7. LOL!! you could try AndyZ to see if he's got a second hander or you could have it rebuilt or you could do the right thing & convert to Manual :D
  8. i never said it would CAUSE detonation, i said it would be more prone to damage FROM detonation. damaged plugs = poor combustion. not something that any of us want. all IMHFO!!
  9. the problem is yanky v8's DONT rev very high. cruddy pushrod engines you see. :)
  10. arn't the German Autobahns some of the safest roads around?? ban all speed limits!! :D
  11. 1 - removing the cats has nothing to do with the MOT test (whether its legal or not is another matter) as long as it passes the emmisions test. 2 - the 300zx is not in the emmisions database, so unless its an 8/95> car its tested as a non-cat vehicle anyway 3 - excessivly warped discs is a failure & will show up on the brake roller test as the needles fluctuating. & 4 - yes, i am an MOT tester :D
  12. Mongoose exhaust cost me £450 group buy from smithy JWT induction $100 from Courtesy JWT chip - erm ask around ;) Boost jets (boost cotroller is preferrable before every one starts!) £1.50! (mig tips) Clutch & flywheel £695 from Smithy you will also need a decent boost gauge, think i paid around £100 for gauge & a pillar trim, again from smithy Traction Control is also a real benifit with this amount of power (trust me! :o ) £540 at the moment - again a group buy.
  13. check here, basically what iv got, + an uprated clutch & lighter flywheel ;)
  14. LMAO!! dont be silly mac, the thread size is far too small!! :D
  15.   didnt realise he batted for the home team!! LOL!! :D
  16. copper electrode plugs are more prone to damage from high temperatures & detonation associated with turbo charged engines. the money you saved on the plugs will look very small indeed if you need an engine rebuild!! id never fit anything other than platinum or iridium plugs. not woth the risk IMO. -11 plugs are supposed to have a 1.1mm gap, so your probably down on power too if youve closed them up.
  17. TC with launch control oh & theres a group buy going on - speak to luke at the zed centre if you want it - but be quick, its nearly complete now.

to be perfectly honest, the ones that just bolt on are really more for looks!! pukka race ones have a threaded bolt in the cross section to tension it up after fitting.
