  1. haha, me too Gary.... even do it in my commuter! I do the Mrs head in whenever we go to Tesco:lol:
  2. I'll hopefully be geting my tickets next week now... All being well, I should be picking my Zed up tomorrow:)
  3. I've seen Petes car a few times as I work across the road from the retail park I so sometimes have to park my car there too... I park even better (or worse officially!) This is on the same retail park.......... - - - Updated - - - The space on the right is too small for a car anyway:yes:
  4. I am indeed. Spoke to Lee on Friday, it'll defo be ready for Saturday now. I'll be ordering my JAE tickets this time next week if all is good!
  5. oooh! Where did you get them Ian? I need to sort a spare out soon... Only got one atthe mo. Is that a titanium one?
  6. I'll be sending mine to you soon hopefully... Still want mine in red though
  7. That's a shame, if I do end up making it I was looking forward to seeing yours as the pics look amazing!
  8. Totally agree with all the above. Since purchasing my Z32 back in March I've had nothing but problems... I've hardly had the opportunity to enjoy driving it. But, I absolutely agree with what Mondo says about how a good car should make you smile.... Even after all the issues (which I'm hoping could be sorted by next weekend) I love it. Whenever I have taken it out, the level of attention you get is crazy... Its how a proper car should look like and feel like. New cars don't really interest me, they just don't stand out enough. The first time I saw a Z32 I must have been about 10 years old, I loved it then and never believed that one day I would own my own. My aim is to now slowly start bringing mine back to its former glory, it does appear to be a solid example with no rust, my issues were all as a result of poor maintenance mechanically by the previous owner. After a new engine and pretty much all new electrics I just can't wait to get it back on the road now so I can hopefully enjoy whats left of the summer! Hopefully mine too can one day be one of the greats of the club:)
  9. It's now looking promising for me! I may be able to come along as my Zed should be ready to be picked up next Sat after a new engine has been installed:hyper:
  10. I spoke to Paul at banzai couple of weeks back when I purchased my new engine from there. 07932041835 spoke to him once and then text after so may be worth texting him asking for a call back.
  11. Me too, feel like I'm missing out with all this good weather. Just want to get the targas off and be in the Zed!
  12. Spent the day claying, polishing and waxing the car with that Harly Wax.... The paint looks like new. Very happy with the finish and I have to say that that wax was the best I've ever used. Really easy to apply and buffs off with ease with no streaks. Looking forward to getting the Zed back so I can do the same to her....
  13. It'll be the first time I've used a clay bar but what I'm going to do is wash, dry, clay bar, wash, polish and then harley wax I ordered.... should hopefully look good. To be honest, the shine on my car is pretty good anyway as it is waxed every week, theres just a few rough patches where tar has stuck to the sides at the bottom of the doors. I've been told by my neighbour to expect it to look worse after the clay at first until I've built up the layers of wax again especially with it being a black car as any small scratches will be more apparent. Hopefully it will be worth the effort though :)
  14. This sadly isn't for the zed yet, testing it put on my commuter car while the Zed's having a new engine fitted. If I get s good result I will defo order some more. Been meaning to try out a clay bar for ages and now I have a good polish and wax to use it with
  15. I have too, looks good! Also bought autoglym's clay bar set to get the full effect first
  16. That's brilliant! :thumbup1:
  17. I have 5000k on my 300 and 6000k on my Vectra for comparison, here you go............
  18. I know, its been off the road more than on since I got it but I'll get there in the end:wheelchair:
  19. The AA van wanted to take us to some random garage in Stoke so I paid him extra to take us to Lee Dents... It was just the route he took, we were literally right near the entrance to the show (it was like rubbing salt in the wounds lol) but all the cars looked good and really looking forward to being part of the next one! Lee was brilliant though, I rang him early morning and he got down to the garage on a Sunday with Callum, made us a brew and looked over the car. He thinks the head gasket blew but he was going to take a better look in the next couple of days. When the AA guy came about 45 mins after we broke down and with the bonnet being wide open during this time, he recorded the engine temp at 120 degrees! There was quite a lot of smoke too! :( Think its going to be a new engine as this will most likely be a bit more affordable than a full strip down and rebuild :(
  20. ok Rich, I'll sort it out with you next time I get down to a show or meet (hopefully soon lol!)
  21. Looks like it was a great show guys... gutted I didn't quite make it although the convoy did look good when it passed me while I was on tow by the AA lol! Rich... do I owe you anything for the ticket? If you send me your paypal address I can send over what I owe you. Loving every one of those Zeds btw, they really stood out amongst all the other classic cars.... hopefully, I'll get along in mine to another show soon. Its back in Lee's capable hands now and sounds like it needs a new engine:(
  22. Its crazy what some have done to these cars.... They are beautiful cars as they were.
