  1. Really daft one this..... I was fitting a new windscreen wiper motor and randomly, my cat stole one! I've no idea where she's put it but if anyone has a spare? :blushing: The pics below show what I'm after, 1st pic without, 2nd with. Just need one:)
  2. Hi Stephen, where about on the engine is it? Any pics? Also, would this be the part: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Engine-Oil-Pressure-Sender-With-Gauge-Standard-PS-199-fits-85-96-Nissan-300ZX-/252055705601?hash=item3aafb0d801
  3. I want a water temp one anyway after the last blow up! I had no warning. All should be ok for next weekend though shouldn't it? I'm not taking it back to Lee's until the 19th
  4. How easy/hard is it to fit an oil pressure gauge. Is it something that I should be able to do? I am not a mechanic btw, can only do the basics
  5. So overall, am I right in saying as long as its got oil it should be ok?
  6. I have a full 5 litre bottle of both oil and coolant in the car:lol:
  7. Think I will get an oil pressure, oil temp and water temp gauge installed soon
  8. Thanks guys for your comments... hope your right. I'll check over it tonight and maybe let it run for a while to check for noises. Its going back to Lee Dents the week after JAE anyway just for a full check over since the new engine. There is a very small oil leak at the front of the engine but surely that wouldn't reduce the pressure that much? Lee will be sorting this too when its back with him. - - - Updated - - - I've literally been checking all the fluids before any journey lol! So far so good
  9. Hi All, Got a quick question..... I was driving late last night and all seemed well. (Only nipped out for petrol) Anyways, just as I was pulling back onto my street I noticed that the Oil Pressure had dropped to zero! Parked it up on the drive and cut the engine, it had been driving ok whilst I was out? Anyway, let it settle for about half an hour and checked the oil level - all looked ok?? Started it up again and whilst it was idling, it read zero.... revved slightly and the needle did move up but then settled back to zero. As it was late last night I've not checked anything else yet.... I'll take a look tonight however if anyone has any thoughts I'd be greatful. Should I be worried? Only bought my JAE ticket yesterday:crying:
  10. I'm not that keen if I'm honest. Its the first auto I've had and I just miss that element of control form a manual. That will defo have to wait for some time yet though!
  11. Thanks Gary, I still need to take it back to Lee's the weekend after JAE just mainly to give it a good check over. There is a tiny oil leak aswell but nothing major.... I've finally experienced this car working properly though! The next things on the list will be wheels and tyres, (it'll have to wait a bit for them though as I've spent alot more than expected this year already!) Also want a manual conversion maybe next year:biggrin:
  12. Ticket now officially ordered and received after a long test weekend of driving the Zed
  13. Had the wheels aligned yesterday as they were well out, and today fitted a new windscreen motor as the old one was knackered!
  14. That's much more like it! You can actually see the mark 4 Supra in that design
  15. The drive back from Lee's has been the only long drive so far. Done a couple of short trips and I'm going to commute in it this week. Should be doing some longer drives this weekend though as I'm heading up to my dads in Morecombe. It sounds a lot better now though... spent the day claying, polishing and waxing yesterday too.... even give the exhausts a bit of a shine! - - - Updated - - - pics are b4 and afters... think they came up pretty nice
  16. Thanks, I'll nip to Halfords on my way home. Other than that.... so far so good;)
  17. Thanks Ian, I have been checking everything at the mo lol.... Is there any particular fluid for the power steering? Never had to top it up in any of my cars before so I have no idea!
  18. Completely agree Ian.... I was very disappointed with the Pulsar too. Nissan have clearly lost the plot if they believe that should be the next Zed!
  19. Hi All, Driving to work this morning and the HICAS light came on.... Is this something to be worried about or could it just need power steering fluid topping up? Had to get into work so didn't have time to check. Thanks
  20. I need a new drivers side rear light panel, original oem the red and orange one 92 spec. In very good condition. Thanks
  21. Picked the Zed up after an engine transplant at Lee Dent's! She Purrs better than ever right now
  22. I've not ordered them yet Ian, I was waiting to make sure I got the car back before I booked my tickets. Good news is, spoke to Lee and he tells me the engine is sounding sweet.... Can't wait. He's sent some pics of the engine bay too.... so much nicer than it was before! Engine when I first got the car: Pic sent of new engine sent on Wed:
