From what I gather you turn it off if youre gonna boot it!! I used to drive with overdrive off all the time, untill someone on the forum said about when youre driving normaly you should have no warning lights up on the dashboard lit, and I thought hmm, youre right. Is yours an import? If so youve got a power/hold button to play with to!

Why not just park in 2 spaces and buy 2 tickets and stick one to each side of the windscreen, that way everyone should be happy.

Stuart, That sounds exactly the same as what mines doing, it started doing it only in the wet or when streering turned, but has got progressively worse. Feels like theres a tiny bit of play in something down by my feet somewhere (what a great technical description that is!) I'm gonna get Jeff at Zedworld to have a look at mine, but if in the meantime you find out what it is can you post it so I can tell him what to check, and if i get mine sorted first i'll let you know.

Mines just over 100,000kms so thats about just over 63,000 miles at my guess.

A mate of mine went on holiday to japan recently and returned having bought a skyline, a pulsar, an impretza and a zed. Ive posted the zed on here to see if anyones interested, its a H plate TT in dark red (same colour JeffTT's used to be!) with an amazingly low 53,000kms on it, 12 months MOT, full leather, some Jap history, big wheels, big exhaust, 300kmh clocks, a blitz sbc (although it appears to be a very old one). He wants £5,000 for it which I think it's well worth, but if anyone wants to give me £4,500 for mine (bright red 1991 TT) i'll have it instead. When i bought mine, the seller a very nice bloke in his fifties gave me the keys for a test drive and when i asked if he was coming with me he told me he was selling it cos it scared him, we left him my mates brand new astra cabriolet (with his girlfriend inside) to show we were genuine, but he would of been perfectly happy to let us go without having done so. As the car was only 1/2 mile from my house i took it home, showed the family, and returned to him with the cash. i think when you are selling a car you have to be very careful, there are alot of genuine people who may be put off by someone being overprotective of their car, on the same note their are a few dodgy gits that are only out to thrash or nick it. Great idea, I've always liked the idea of having a meet at a pub but doing it WITHOUT prior arrangement with the pub itself. Probably not a very practical idea , but it would be bloody hilarious to see the look on their faces as their car park gets covered in zeds, and its not like many pubs would turn a large group of paying customers away is it?!! I'd wager that the battery is knackered, Had this with mine when messing with the stereo for a few hours, hed all the same symtoms everything worked but was very dim but the battery did'nt have the power to start the car and it also wouldn't take a charge when i tried to charge it. If your battery was on the way out before its possible that all the work on the radio (without the engine running i assume) has put the last nail in its coffin.

I am sharing your problem too.

Look for; Noisey Transmission/ running gear, propshart, driveshafts etc and if its an auto check for nice clean atf. You can tell i bought a bad'un once (not my present Z may I add).

I dont thik theres owt wrong with it, i think they just buzz.

I think that the slow running when its cold may be down to safety boost, from what ive heard standard uk zeds do this to stop you booting it on a cold engine, mines jap and mine will let me boost all i like when its cold, not that thats a good thing! As for the gears, i just leave mine in drive with overdrive off and only put overdrive on if i would have used 5th in a manual, I never bother with the power/hold button if you whack your foot down the power light comes on automatically. Are you sure the buzzing noise isnt the fuel pump? They buzz. The boost guage generally goes up the more you put your foot down, but i know there are other factors aswell, revs, pressure etc, but it doesnt sound like you have a problemthere to me. My final bit of advice is that if youve only put your foot down 3/4 of the way is to go out and floor it!!!

my moneys on the fluid level, the level goes down as the pads wear, so it maybe worth checking the pads.

I got the e mail too, but cant say it bothered me, thats what people have e mail address for, if people dont want to recieve e mails they do not have to show thier e mail addresses on their profile. And one more thing how come I nevr get e mailed any porn? Lifes just not fair sometimes!
