Sounds daft i know, but with all that dust on the plenum etc you might be as well to get the hoover on it with the upholstry attachment on, it would save you turning alot of it into dirty goo when you put the wd40 on it. Just a thought, not that ive ever tried it or anything, honest!!;)

Jeff'll sort you out, just take it slow till then. It could be something leaking from more up front and going along the body/exhaust till it comes off the car, do you park on a sloped drive at all. An easy way to get a look under it withount jacking it is to park half on and off a kerb put a suitably sized bit of wood under each wheel anddrive on to them (im dead scared of dropping a ton and a half of zed on me off a jack!!) then find a kid playing in the street and slide yourself under there! I think if they sorted the odd back end out it would makequite a nice motor, the side looks a bit gto to me but i could live with it i suppose. Cant believe how much the back spoils it though.

Or in fact to anyone who can answer it; Having seen all the questions and answers on the uk rear shock handbrake thingy i was wondering, Ive got a j spec but when i get in it in the morning and reverse off the drive i hear a little wizz of a small motor for maybe a second or so after ive reversed about 5 foot, sounds like some sort of gizmo in the boot area dooing something but ive never known what, sounds similar to what id imagine the shock actuators to sound like though i know i deffo dont have any:confused: It doesent cause me any problems, just wondered what it was!!
