  1. The car is in my unit right now, drove it here this morn :D New gearbox and bits sitting on the shelves just waiting to get fitted  I'm not sure if the box is a gonner because it performed flawlessly then as soon as it started to lose drive I didnt drive it anymore in case i really shagged it out. When I cleaned the sump and filter, the tranny oil was slightly thick and brown - no bits in it tho. Gave it a thorough clean out and she seems fine. These boxes must be super sensitive to oil viscosity. BUT......I wouldn't trust an auto again....so its manwell for me :D
  2. Too right bud :D Ive got all the stuff in my unit right now :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: Got an RPS clutch waiting to go in as well :D After the manwell is done, RainbowZTT (paul) & I are going to rework the body and interior and do a full respray again - is currently dark blue, am thinking of going to pearl black with a touch purple or blue flake on it. Ive got a blue interior at the mo but if I go purple flake i'll change to a black interior.
  3. Hi Dan, Didnt replace anything, just a clean cos I've now got the zed in my unit so I can do the manwell :hyper: Sorry I couldn't be more helpful bud.
  4. Finally managed to get under the zed tonight and remove the gearbox sump and filter, gave it a good clean - didnt find any bits but the oil was a bit sludgey. 2 hrs or so start to finish. Put it all back together and, wow doesn't it fookin shift :hyper: Bites nice and cleanly in all gears n changes sweet as a nut :D I originally thought the box was a duffer cos it lost drive all one day so I got myself a spare autobox as a precaution, then decided to go manwell and got a spare manwell box too. Looks like all 3 boxes are A1 :hyper: It goes to show that we tend to think the worst of our zeds til; we get our hands dirty :x: I'm still going ahead with the manwell convo this week tho :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
  5. Christ....its no wonder no one gets spotted these days :D you're all member of the dedzed club :hyper:
  6. I would just like to say that my nuts are ok too :D
  7. This is the sort of thing you might need bud. I couldnt fit the std nuts on my new alloys, i needed to get smaller dia with an internal drive. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=250101551376&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=015
  8. Woohoo......the threads back on course :hyper:
  9. Koyo is the way to go....with a decent temp gauge :D
  10. The trouble in Canton is the addition of so many local dialects it makes it hard to catch whats going on when it gets busy. They were always correcting my mandarin with their local accent :( and that made it worse for the proper mandarin speakers I used to visit nr Beijing :D Mind you the food in Canton is just the best ever  .........thinking about it is making me hungry now :hyper:
  11. I've spent quite a while in China over the last 4 years so I'm trying to get to grips with Mandarin.....the trouble is when Im out there I'm usually in Guangzhou....and Cantonese is fookin tricky :headvswal Altho I've managed to learn my own name now.... Wun Hung Lo :D
  12. Allo bud, I've just got a Conzult. Just lending it to rainbow at the mo, so we're just getting used to it. If I get any spare time this week i'll let you know and we can pop over. Cheers Marc PS I'll bring that geeeeeetar too :x:
  13. I would take a peek at hella's new lights. Im running the scooped headlights from luke with 4 x hella's. I think they're doing a range with angels eyes in as std items now. Marc
  14. Cheers bud, Ive been reading through the manual, I was told to get hold of some notes regarding the std settings of the z32  Anyway, I can see it all there. Cheers
  15. Does anyone have a list of the std zed settings for use with Conzult? ie the std set of values that the car operates under. Cheers
  16. Coz there trying to be 'a merry ken' :D
  17. Hi Peeps, Thinking of decatting. #1 The motor & tubs on my car are sound, will decats screw any of these up? #2 How does removing the o2 sensors affect the running of the car. #3 whats they best way of removing the o2 sensors - I'm doing a manwell conversion so I'll be under the car anyway. Cheers Marc
  18. Uh oh you'll be a bling junkie b4 you know it  welcome to the club...you can come in anytime you like...... but you can never leave
  19. It depends where you live as well. I have a cover cos I have trees in the garden. Wash the car every week and it will get scratched to bits with the residue from the tree and little birdies bottoms. Protect your car anyway you can bud. Covers or washing or what ever you feel it takes. You'll find most peeps on here havent got covers, its not a thing that most peeps splash out on so they tend to buy cheapies that arent lined etc so they will prob scratch...you get what you pay for. Either way dont skimp....if you get a cover, get a good one. If you wash regularly use good sponges and dont use your sponges twice they quickly get filled will scratchy stuff.
  20. U got my vote bud, thats a fair bunch of fookwits there...all they do is give this country of ours one up the dirt box  No wonder we all feel like we're being fooked by the gov
  21. Fully comp bud :slap: I'll take a look tonight bud and post back here.
  22. I've got a decent one...its custom made for the zed, its breathable but water proof, it also has a nice soft lining that doesnt scratch the car up. Put it this way...its better than having no cover
  23. Curious to know how many of us have our cars off the road and why. Mines having a manwell conversion, new body work n paint job etc, lowered suspension, adjustable upper & lower arms, new alloys, new guages and a little bling etc, strut braces, short shifter blah blah blah
  24. Thats a strange looking impact, quite high up with no apparent damage to the lower part of the car. What did they drive into it with? Feel for you bud.
