Back to work tomorrow?
Its a bloody good job you aint back to work tomorrow. You have those electrical problems to sort out first :wack:
-
Electrical problems (house)
Easy repair, as long as you get the right one, some are the same size but the distance apart from the ends (you push the wires on) are different. Normally if an element like that goes it will knock out the RCD.

Electrical problems (house)
My moneys on the element too,, if the fan was not working also I would say timer or stat. Would be best to take the old element out first to make sure you get the right one, there are so many of them for fan ovens,, its located just in front of the fan,, insulate the wires so you can still use the rest of the cooker while you looking for a replacement. Economy Cookers may have one, they are 5 miles outside Wisbech Cambs 01553 828878 Good luck. Just a thought, some cookers have an overheating sensor ie two wires coming from it, one to the element the other from the stat , usually fixed to the top or back of the oven wall,, not visable from looking inside the oven , its a safety thing that cuts off power to the element if the oven overheats, I have known these things to fail even when cold, if so you can get by with joining the two wires coming from it together.

Stolen war memorial
http://.nuneatonandbedworth.gov....morial-vanishes If anyone hears of anything or knows anything phone Warwickshire police in Nuneaton on 02476 641111 or +44 2476 641111 if outside the UK. If this statue can be saved from the criminal smelters then a lot of people will be very grateful. How low can these scum of the earth criminals with no respect go? Just two days after Armistice day. Put the word about guys.

13.8 seconds!
Sounds Good. Yes Iv'e got a 1915cc motor (just the engine) blue-printed, spec= 69mm counter weighted crank..... duel relief case Full oil flow system...... Straight cut gears.....Engle 120 cam....Lightened & balanced rods..... lightened Flywheel.... Berg oil pump & cover... Mahle 1915 forged pistons..... Chrome molly Pushrods..... Big valve Hemi cut heads with SS valves.... swivel feet rockers etc & twin 40 Dellortoes. I fired it up,, bolted to a gearbox on an engine stand with a fully merged race exhaust,, it sounded awsome,, in fact it screems to red line as if on a switch. As fast as it sounds (maybe not as fast as yours) I would love to think she would run a high 14 in a 750kg vehicle. I guess its not impossible. Eliminator heads are good,, check the ''end float'' by grabbing hold of the fan pully and ''push n pull'' see how much movement, should be very little, check out how heavy its breathing, a lot of those big bore VWs spew it out all over the place. Total seal rings are a good thing to fit. If its a good strong motor it could be fun :hyper: PS have you told your insurance it runs 13s  :smash:

13.8 seconds!
Only problem is, to build a 1915cc VW aircooled motor to run that fast would cost much more than a nice Z32 example. Look after it well, and dont try keeping up with the 300s when they pass you at 150 plus MPH :nono: The 94mm bore makes the walls real thin, a lot of the race VW guys go 90.5 bore & stroke em to 78mm giving 2007cc Whats been done to it apart from the 69mm stroke & 94mm bore??? Ive seen some real fast Bugs run at the Pod in the past, & I've also heard some some exaggerated 1/4 mile times. I did witness a high 13s run once with a 1600cc Beetle, but that had monster work done on it & run twin 48 IDAs, the car was a gutted out lightweight with scooter (Vespa type) front wheels. Now a Z32 engine in that Beetle, mid mounted, would be fun, just don't let your insurance Co know :mac1:

I'd stop all their giros and bulldoze them into a pit

Right guys get it from the horses mouth, I had a BBR converted Alpine GTA V6 turbo with a 275 bhp motor, back in the 80s,, it was fast OK, but would not stand a chance in hell against a Z32 TT (well not my one :D ) ....
