I've got a carbon kevlar bucket seat on a standard 300zx set of runners that weighs absolutely nothing. I was just running stock rear wheels, nothing inside apart from the dash and the kevlar seat and it made the car monsterously quick compared to when everything was in :D No aircon pump, no carbon canister, pcv valves removed etc, no cruise control either

Not quite Dave, they're silver with red and the surround/centre console are all painted silver. Not entirely to my taste but hey ho  lol

Cheers buddy :D Thanks mate, was great to finally meet you after all these years! We both needed that cuppa after standing outside for so long lol Looking through all the parts i realised today how little there is to do on the project. Once that engine's in it's going to be very quick to get the rest done and it'll finally be on the road :D

The V8's home! (thank you Slick Pete)
Well sooner than expected I decided to bring the new project home to Lutterworth. Slick Pete gave me a day of his life to help out (thank you buddy, much appreciated!). We started off about 10am and got back to ashby after dropping all the parts off at Lutterworth about 7pm. I've spent today moving everything around and tidying up as well as putting the original wheels back on and setting the panels up. Spacing is a bugger but I think I'm just about there, just the bottom of the panels to drill and bolt up and they're done. I also sorted out all the electrics on the car to get everything working, even the brake lights work now! I've also nicked a few bits off Zena and fitted some crystal rear reflectors on. I'll wire up some repeaters to go in there soon. Overall a good old day today, no engine in yet but in two weeks time i'll be taking the V8 block down to Northampton to be bored, honed and decked then its a case of starting the engine build. The heads should be here this week in the post and all i need is the clutch and a few bits and bobs to complete before we drop it in the shell. Then it's just a case of customising the manifolds to fit around the steering column and doing all the final bits of wiring and pipework but all being well it should all be done for May (FINGERS CROSSED!!!!)

Whats the worst car youve had.
You were bloody lucky matey, i went for a job as crash investigator once and judging from those photos you were lucky not to lose a leg or die in the crash!

Whats the worst car youve had.
Fiesta Mk3 1.3, terrible terrible car. Bought it for £2300 in immaculate condition with 42k on the clock Within 2 weeks rust had started to bubble through, and after stripping the paint back i found pretty much the whole rear of the car was filler. 49k the engine seized and the piston shattered into 13 pieces, block was scored so guess what, a month out of warranty i had to replace the whole engine at a cost of £750, all the springs and shocks went, £600, all the brake pads and front discs went, i had a slow puncture, the car was broken into twice, smashed the window and the lock the second time. All in all over 2 years cost me £5000 and sold it for £900 :( Piece of shite

Drivers Side door lock...broken
You might find it's not actually broken buddy, there's a plastic locking clip on various parts of the linkage that can loosen up and pop open and the linkage drop off. Take your door card first and check to see what's happened first
