what about MS help :D? does windows update work in firefox also? these things are all integral to peoples lives, and not very many people know that they use MS rendering engine. At the end of the day the only way to get rid of it is to install linux :) (or get a Macincrap)

try using autoglym gloss, its basically a spirit and water doesnt stick well to it. I've always been an autoglym whore, but i'm going to switch to meguirs soon. It usually takes me about 8 hours to clean my car lol, its all about elbow greases and doing it properly :D.

sill using IE, firefox is okay, going through the fad stage atm so development will be driven by the userbase, a correctly configured XP should be secure when using IE. You should never run as Administrator to avoid spyware, run XP sp2 will fix any IE security holes which have not been addressed with patches. make sure you are up to date with windows update. Firefox will not stop you getting viruses, you should still employ a good virus scanner and firewall. Even though you are using firefox to browse IE is still integrated massively into the XP OS, when opening outlook, outlook express, incredimail, MSN messenger and other utilities IE HTML rednering engine will be fully or partly loaded into these applications.

Yuh was running system diags on DB's + a few things that usually run overnight but I decided to keep an eye on them whilst running them this time. I could always take the BB offline whilst doing it next time ;). It's looking like needing a bit of an upgrade hardware wise however in the near future. If only we were as big as the US sites then I could do some real cool load balanced hardware designs :)

not really ready to start 300zx gulf war 2 BUT, running castrol 10w60 and going to switch oil at weekend for winter driving engine details : 120,000 miles on the heads, slight "squeal" from one lifter when cold, but goes after 5 minutes of warming up (fixing in spring) turbos and small engine (pistons/blcok) have about 60,000 miles on them now mainly short journeys, not really driven hard in the winter and do about 100miles a week. anyone got any suggestions? better get in quick before this thread turns to shit :D

cheers guys, all in a days work :) basically the server threw one, when doing this it decided to corrupt the database to some degree (I don't know what as it wasn't reporting itself as corrupted) the basic fix to this takes about 15 minutes, however that only worked for about half the forum, the next fix takes 6 hours to run on a database our size, it basically removes every DB entry and reinserts it. when you think of how many records there are for this forum it probably runs into millions. anywho its all back now and hopefully will be sound for the forseeable future, i'm off to get some sleep
