  1. ah vanity over practicality.... :D
  2. if it was done by superchips the company then take it out and put the stock one back in
  3. why let a car hold you back from travelling? a kid maybe, a wife, a mortgage to pay, but not a car,
  4. exactly the zclub and steve have been very helpful in giving us advice over the years :)
  5. hey guys stop biting :) there are a couple of people out there trying to stir the shit on the forum, we've always had the odd couple trying to do this, enjoy the club, it aint perfect but we are getting there, and yes, everything that is done is for the membership :)
  6. andyp - did you leave the members unchained again? it would be good to see the zclub pick up a bit actually, I think the whole forum gets about as many posts a month as we do a day,
  7. i dunno, i rename it everynow and then and noone notices :D
  8. I may be bud, my car is in my sig,
  9. going to repaste my response from previous thread, at the beginning traders were asked to join to sell products they specialised in, thats what the club wanted, select specialists who sold their items well, not a big barny with people undercutting each other or fly by nights who pop on to make a quick buck and then dissapear. a lot of those guys are still around smithy - flywheels, clutches shiny bits &turbos chris - greddy and select performance products DTA - primarily conzult MJP - OEM nissan parts Andyz - second hand parts The club was never meant to be a shop front selling to people , there are plenty of places to shop around, we just put a mechanism in place for people who traded good select items to come on board and sell. You can get the pieces cheaper else where IE eBay, but we have always strived to chose people who offer good service. Unfortunately luke is one of the good guys who provides a good service, but the forum may not be the best place for him to trade direct with customers, banner advertisement would probably have been better for him. We could open up trading rules, and its been discussed in length, after discussion with traders it was pretty much decided that we could end up losing a lot of the good guys who offer you the deals. where would be then? one trader monopolising the membership? The club is for the members and we are always willing to listen, but remember we also gave you the opportunity of choice, 300zx.co.uk could have been a business with one trader run by the founders, but we decided to open it up to established business's for the good of the membership, we decided on forum to go the route we did, and as ian has mentioned a lot of car clubs have expressed interest in the way he has run this ship. everyone wants better prices, and it is possible to find better prices elsewhere , the club wants the membership to have the best service for reasonable prices, we don't dictate to members not to deal with the traders they like off forum, but it has been agreed by the traders they will only sell certain items. you can put a poll up, but ultimately this agreement was put in place by the traders and to a certain extent it is enforced by the club. there was actually method behind the system we wanted to keep it nice for you guys.
  10. R.I.P wonder who the other bloke is, not bizzarre i hope,
  11. for a warrantee replacement overseas you need to contact custom and excise to let them know the item is coming through as a replacement before it is sent, they may want confirmation the old item is sent back or not in working order.
  12. Everything has a value, read my post, items under the value of £36 are exempt from tax if sent as a gift, however if someone buys you a $1000 laptop you have to pay duty You can put something down as null value but you run two risks 1) it being opened and possibly seized 2) it getting lost and you are therefore not insured, because insurance value is the listed item value that is listed when sent. all these little loopholes arnt really loopholes, the goverment knows exactly what goes on, and there are practises in place to prevent people scamming tax and duty.
  13. sending as a gift is not guarenteed to avoid tax, import duty is calculated on a per case basis. I put this up some time ago http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=29629
  14. Technical Director 5 year plan though is to retire, and become a smallholder,
  15. Networking is a good career, a couple of CISCO courses and a bit of info about routing and he will be making shite loads of money in a year or so,
  16. best to see an advisor, get a recomendation and see someone who runs it as a business not someone who just needs the job,
