  1. I thought the same, lol...........I'm liking the look of the 'vert these days!!
  2. If it's rpm related then that pretty much rules out anthing past the gearbox.
  3. I know znut removed his own cats with a bit of brut force and used the standard piopes that were left hollow. I think you can also poor engine oil into them to soften them up first iirc
  4. TURN YOUR BOOST DOWN till the problems solved or you will knacker the engine..... Heres my recent thread on the issue. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=111538 Work your way through that thread, have you replaced anything on the car recently?? Could be timing, boost leak, fuel starvation, spark plugs, ect
  5. It's the turbo's impella's stalling because the air thats rushing through it under pressure gets stopped by the butterfly's closing when you release the throttle. In a standard Z the air pressure thats left gets put back into the intake so that its charged with air for when you re-apply the throttle, the BOV's just let that air into the atmosphere but still should stop the tub's stalling. Sounds like they need adjusting so that they come on at a lower pressure.....However as your running in i'd leave them cause when you start giving it some throttle i don't think you'll have a problem. My car ofton does it below 6psi of boost when its cold.
  6.  I knew that :D
  7. Cheapest for as long as the tubs last  Also depends what noise your after, the Apexi's really are just pressurised air release but the HKS ones have a more high pitch wistle
  8. If you put just new rings on all the other pistons the compression would be nearly the same wouldn't it
  9. I have the same seam....Pressumed the car had had some dodgy sills replaced in the past as mine are fine but seeing yours rusty maybe theres another reason? Infact thinking about it the seams go right into the door shuts...............maybe i actually have 2 Zeds  :wack:
  10. Thats not gonna fit where the re-circs are. They'l need to go onto one of the boost ic boost pipes (normally the outside one) You'll need a hard pipe with a T for the conection The Apexi's are a direct replacement of the re-circs.
  11. i had one of the metal guards that covers the ABS sensor rubbing the sender wheel thing!! took ages to find lol
  12. Marks helped me out with ALOT of advice and cozults......THanks!!!!!!!
  13. Yeah, i think they're great..............just what did they think they were doing???
  14. (notice the deliberate spelling mistake :D) I also love the fact that on the news the story gets a 'you may find this report disturbing' when moments before they are talking about two of our youngest soldiers yet to be killed in action!!!
  15. Is it a constant squeek or is it intermitant with the rotation of th wheels?
  16. Like this noise??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eYBF8iDQnw
  17. If i understand what your saying then i believe that its really not good for the turbo's. The noise is the Turbo's stalling iirc
  18. Just get some ear plugs :D
  19. Yes sounds like a few people alter the timing to suit the season.
  20. serves the little scrote right. Hope the wound stayed open and he got mrsa!!!
  21. Thanks all, will have a go. If theres one thing i hate it's shiny interiors, lol :D
  22. I have retarded the timing to 14 degrees and running 0.9 bar and no Det  And that was yesterday in the heat!!!!! So to recap...... New intercooler boost hoses, fixed 2 boost leaks better airflow through the bumper (small No. plate and removable filter splash gard for dry days) New Colder burning spark plugs (NGK) Removed PRVR system Re-installed the EBC checking all pipes and adjusting it slightly Set the Blitz ebc to Set 55, Gain 20 which equates to 0.9 bar boost (1 bar limiter) Adjusted the timing from 17 degrees back to 14 degrees. Thank you EVERYONE for your help
  23. Can't seam to get my dash to look right. I don't want it shiny!!! But i seam to get a white residue with autoglym interior shampoo so i tried my leather treatment from my seats on it and still no luck!!!! What do you use to keep the dash looking new??
