Just put my power boat on eBay
Well I've been wanting a boat for a long time. Originally looked at a RIB, but would prefer a propper rigid GRP hull etc. Not just for the looks, but the speed also. Christ, if ONLY I have some space and the motivation to strip/rebuild the engine.

Wanting the black stripe again!!
Oh right are they? Ok...well, I am sure they have the cutouts in the backs ready for drilling. I have seen some A-spec ones which are like that and have blanked bits..infact JDM ones have running lights which are blanked off.

Well those are the indicators I want anyway, will have to get the fog light backings painted too so that they are of a similar smoked-ness etc. Dunno whether to do the stripe in a gloss black. Would match the other black parts on the car such as the door pillars, rear light surrounds etc.

Wanting the black stripe again!!
I know a lot of people have had their black strip removed in favour of going bodycolour. But I'm starting to think that they look much nicer with the black stripe, especially if accompanied with the smoked indicators as fitted to UK cars. For instance, pearl white here with black stripe, breaks the front bumper up a smidge.... Indicators need some work on them. Here they are with smoked indicators. Nice clean look to the front end Now, fog lights will then be a bit of a blot on the landscape. Now I could get the IC ducts from Z1, but quite like this idea... The bloke that owns this has painted the inner parts of his fog lights in a black-chrome, similar to turb0z, so that they look almost the same as the smoked indicators...

I do like that. If I didn't have the Z in my garage I'd be pretty serious about that. Although not sure it's ideal for estuarial waters as opposed to more inland waterways/lakes etc.

Real life Kwik-E-Mart!
PMSL! I might pay that store a visit next month. I drove past the junction for Burbank along I-55 last year.

another zed bites the dust...
A car at that age, I'd buy a CatC. Needs little to make any car over 10 years old a CatC. People just have a stigma attached to it. Provided it's been repaired to a high standard, I'd sooner buy it than some of the shit box Zs about! Push for it mate. If you get £5,500 and a CatC and get to keep the car, you can get the thing repaired to a good standard and have a few pennies left in the can.

Anyone got Commadore's Workbench emulator (Amiga?)
Want to download some of the classics (James Pond Robocod, Alien Breed, Jaguar XJ220 etc) onto my laptop. Just wondering if anyone has a workbench emulator and has got Amiga games running on it?

A quite shocking peice of shite it's been turned into as well.

what do i do next
1200grit as a final cut is too abrasive. Want a 2k WD after that before cutting back. Make sure you have plenty of coats of lacquer. But make sure they are fine even coats. Doesn't matter if it's not shiney as that's achieved by finishing off.

Breaking Zeds
Just buy one with the notion that it's not going to appreciate in value and that it'll cost an arm and a leg to maintain. You'll be fine then! LOL

Yummie, look what's parked outside my house.
The chap that owns this lives just round the corner under the archway you see over the road in one of the penthouse style flats overlooking the marina, his neighbour also has one, just that one is blue. They were parked next to each other yesterday in a cool £300,000 car lot of 2 cars! LOL There are more Aston Martins in Portishead than 300zxs!

Billing isnt shut
I should bloody hope not! LOL, when I was in San Diego last August, it hadn't rained there since March! LOL There's ZCon in Florida the week I'm there, can't be arsed to take an internal flight though. There's a few Z meets in LA when I'm there anyway. Would actually like to go to a UK national event...not been to one yet! LOL

Billing isnt shut
Looks like I won't be going to any of the national events. I am unfortunately now on call for JAE, had planned on going to Billing which is now cancelled and I'll be in California in early September. Looks like I'll see you all next year.

Bee Gee Vinz you have to get this!
:hurl:

I've heard that too. Apparently the VBOA rally is still going ahead.

what do i do next
I can get very good results from aerosols. Just find the finish breaks down so quickly. To get a good shine on the lacquer, many even thin layers, when dry, WD down with 2k grit, then a nice cutting compond, before polishing up.
