Chunk Drifting At Brunters
Yeah I did. I got half way though and pressed pause and wait it for it to finish loading. Didn't seem to make any difference. I'll have another go later.

Yeah, the Wallenius ship would have been a green coloured ship. They are all gradually going to the red you see up there are Wilhelmson bought them out. They are now Wallenius Wilhelmson (or Willy-Wolly as they are known in the industry) They are the Rolls Royce of the car carrier industry. Really nicely appointed inside. Anyway, they pretty much much dominate the trans-atlantic routes, chiefly out of Baltimore and Charlston, where as the company I work on behalf of (Mitsui OSK) monopolise the Asia-Far East routes.

And fix all the suspension... Looks like it's hit a curb feckin hard! Hope it's alright Vin, can just see what looks like damage on the wheel, plus tyre deflated and the there's some serious positive camber there. :(

Laurizten's quite a big company. Used to deal with their reefer ships from time to time actually. That subsiduary of the business is Lauritzen-Cool. Interesting read that. Vessel's what's known as a Panamax Bulker. Quite big, but nowhere near the biggest. We've got a ship in in a few weeks time that incorrectly ballasted off the coast of Canada and part capsized. This happened about a year ago now. As you can see, vessel is heeled over at a horrific list. Now the vessel is a PCC (Pure car carrier) and was carring some 5,000 brand new cars. Mainly Mazda and Toyota. The ship was saved and is now back in service and due here soon. When the lower two holds were pumped dry and the vessel righted, all but the 2 decks of cars that would normally sat below the waterline were written off. All the other cars that were correctly stowed with lashing survived. There was some other minor damage. But you'd have thought it would have ended up in much the same fate as Wallenius's 'Tricolor' which was holed and capsized in the Dover straights about 7 years ago. Vessel had to be cut up by specialist Salvage Experts 'Smit'.... You can see the vessel's engines in this one. This was loaded with Brand new BMWs, Mercedes and Volvos. Each one distroyed...

New film starring a 300zx...
AND the UK social scene. As well as being rammed with chavs and car park hangers-out, the whole thing just looks so unbelievably cheap. Like they had a budget of a few hundred quid and they rounded up a load of boy racers from the McDonalds car parks of the South Coast. It is good to see a Z in film....it's just a shame about the film it was starring in. The Japanese film however looks kinda cool and well put together.

New film starring a 300zx...
Incorrect. There's a 300zx in the film and a short section of it in that clip. It's the black car that's the other side of the Red Sierra. PS, Dolphins looks absolute shite. The F&F films were poor, but this looks EVEN worse. http://www.dolphinsthemovie.com/default.asp

If you're interested in reading further, I found this on TT.net just has some information on HICAS and aftermarket steering wheels. http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=1402944&forum=general&dtSearch=4

Interesting. I was always under the impression that the US spec has a quicker rack and that was it. I'll do some research. :)

HICAS was not designed for manouver. Mearly as a basic stability aid.

IIRC, there's a small cutout at the bottom of the boss that locates over a lug. You need to make sure that the boss is fitted in relation to the lug. If it's moved or not lined up, it's that which knocks the hicas geometry out once HICAS becomes active.
-

Check it has a HICAS compatible boss first. If it has, make sure it's lined up correctly.

Just found this on Gio's site. Seems to confirm what I remembered anyway. Apparently not. JDM too. It's just their speed limiters are set to 114mph. System carries on worring at similar ratios once ECU has been de-limitered. http://www.300zxtt.co.uk/hicas.html

It works at faster speeds than that I think Dave. I believe Nissan testers found it at most benefit at speeds of over 120mph.
-
strange steering
Where did you hear that? It's a high speed system and switches on at about 60kph+
-
strange steering
Your tracking is out and/or the boss on the steering wheel might not be lined up. Check the fluid too, but sounds like the HICAS is trying to compensate for the misaligned geometry over 60kph. HICAS will adjust the rear wheels to try and compensate and this has an effect on how the car points and thus, will throw the front wheels off line. In effect, the car will be 'crabbing' lightly at that point.

Erh? Not having a go bud, but how is it winding people up? Just saying either Z1 is wrong or someone else is. I dunno whether it's a 96 or 98.
