  1. My boost pipes are as-new looking. They were fine on the car when my engine was running in unfortunate 'unlimited boost' status pre-rebuild. Might have a look at that, although a set of good black silicone hoses would be fine for 1bar....? Would prefer to spend the cash on 350Z brake upgrade first. See how things pan out. Leather is on the cards first within the next month or two. :)
  2. Just been out for a drive in the Z. Love the response you get from the cooler air. It's about 13 degrees at the moment. Throttle response is soooooo much better. I am only really used to driving it in the Summer where the warm less dense air is noticeable on performance. Need more boost though. Stock power just isn't enough. Time for a JD Chip and boost controller. :)
  3. Saw the new Argos one just now. Nearly threw the pizza I was eating at my new Sony Bravia!
  4. It can be. Bit of work if you want it to look factory. You can get them from Japan... http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.z32-zone.com&langpair=es%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools
  5. As with the Z forum, I am sure there's a Soarer forum with people more qualified to talk about their issues than there are on here. ;) They are pretty reliable AFAIK though.
  6. Can't comment on MPG as I've never paid any attention to it, mine's a TT anyway. Only use it as a second fun car. If you're looking for a good N/A manual, then you won't go far wrong with this one.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=101838
  7. The market is filled with miserable tatty or chaved up examples which is what reflects on price overall. People still pay good money for top notch examples. Z is also older than the Supra.
  8. Z32 handles better than the Supra, zed is slightly less tunable and a little more expensive if you need to replace things like turbos. That's one reason why they are more pricey. Personally never really liked the look of the Supra and it has one of the most ugly dashboards known to man. Not really an unbiased answer really. But an answer none the less. LOL
  9. I'd have the Soarer out of all that lot. Cracking dash on them and they can be made to look very nice with little work.
  10. I know. Crap isn't it. Most of the supermarkets seem to have their christmas stuff already on sale. Makes one hate xmas and all its dreary shite.
  11. Why didn't you just get a high powered red bulb? I only have my rear fog working for MOT, I plug my other reversing light in usually. Don't drive the Z in the fog/winter. So have never needed using it. Got bored of people telling me one of my reversing lights was out! LOL
  12. You gonna go the full Monty though or just dance around in your pants? LOL
  13. 17s are just too small IMHO. Only 1" bigger than standard. Stick to non colours, so silver and / or anthracite. If you're going to replace the rims make it worth while.
  14. Don't all series 2 also have elec PAX seat too?
  15. I risked it totally and after a full rebuild took it down to LeMans and back. Didn't drive it hard at all as I don't really, but took it through the gears and lightly brought it on boost. Luckily, the roads to get there are a mixture of long straights and then towns /villages, so the engine always had a spread of revs. I tried not to labour the engine, but kept the revs up just to allow things to bed in, but don't drive it like a pansy. Incidently, my car didn't miss a single beat on its first run. By the time I'd gotten back, I'd done nearly 500 miles. :)
  16. Rare colour too. That skyblue was available, but rare. Few over on the US Z forum.
  17. How the feck would you explain this one away at the dinner table!
  18. It'll be polished alloy on those, not chromed (or shouldn't be). Some rims come with stainless steel covers and some are chromed, but the Work Equip don't. Pretty sure they are polished alloy with a clear powder-coat / anti-weather sealant on them. Need to know how badly it's damaged. Get a photo up.
  19. I loose count of how many people get confuddled with basic English. hehe ;) Welcome to the club mate and ignore me, I'm just a sarcastic toss pot! :) I was up in Notts yesterday.
  20. Good man! Welcome back mate! :) Took its bloody time didn't it. Glad it's back and nice to see what you're getting for it. Glad you're going back to twin exhaust too.
  21. An oil change might be a starting point.....
  22. Not that struck on it. Dashboard is horrid.
  23. Which probably makes up for the change in weight! LOL. Idea of having fibreglass bodypanels makes me cringe.
  24. Doesn't look that good though?
