  1. Good job!....steer clear too. It's turned an exotic muscle car into a peice of women's makeup. Awful.
  2. Only OE spec wheel I like is the airbag wheel. Would rather have the original wheel though over most after market steering wheels as there are some horrific steering wheels about. Nardi wheels and the Momo race are the only steering wheels I like.
  3. I've killed a chicken, plucked, gutted and cooked it. Can't stand doing it and nearly made me hurl. I hate eating off the bone, fat, skin. Prime cuts only. I love meat, but don't like to see where it came from. I just look at it as a food-stuffs.
  4. Honda was never geared up and never intended to set up production like Nissan did with the Z32, it was never intended to be mass produced in the same way, it didn't have different engine options or seat configurations. Great stuff, similar technology in the VG with VVTi, except Honda managed to get more power from an N/A engine. Hypercar...nope, not a term I've come up with. ....hyper car term springs to mind..... At the time, when the cars was launched, they were shy of 300bhp, which was the benchmark figure at the time, back in 1990, other than hypercars such as the F40, McClaren F1 and other such cars, the car wasn't the quickest, but the 348 was producing just over 300bhp. NSX was actually 5.5 seconds to 60. Nope, the 456 was a GT like the Z32. 4 seat configuration and front engined rear wheel drive. Ferrari 456 is actually quite a lot newer. Sure, Honda sold the NSX right past the production start date of the 456, but then again, you could go and compare much older cars and state how slow they are in today's terms. 456 has always been in the GT class along with many other high performance cars such as Aston Martins, and not so high performance cars, like the Monaros of this world. This entire argument is getting very anal and I can't be bothered to reply after this. You just don't like the NSX by the looks of things and that's fine. I'll carry on and delude myself in getting a lesser super car classed car. It's not the reason why I like it or try to offer an explanation as to why I like it. I am more attracted to its shape more than anything and also its handling capabilities. As a final note, I'd rather class the thing as a Sports car. But something pushes it beyond that. Many class it as a Sports car and many class it as a supercar. That discussion has been going on since the thing was launched. When the Z32 was launched, the TT model was classed as Japan's first supercar. Which at the time, could have been true. Wrong configuration though, but it was a start. Anyway, yes, Long live the Z. :) :duffer:
  5. One of the prettiest cars ever made IMHO.
  6. Mmmmmmm, not bad. Great project car. :)
  7. No, the local 'Tex-Mex' is which is where I've eaten for the past 2 nights on the trott. All the pubs are shut, there's NOTHING happening here. LOL
  8. It's crap up here. I'm in Worksop at the moment. What a dreary place. Like a ghost town here!
  9. Because I haven't spent the cash on my Z that equates the value of an NSX and I'm waiting for the prices to drop a little bit more first. I still love the Z32 and think it's one of the finest machines to come from Japan. NSX and Z32 have always been my favourite Japanese cars and are the only 2 cars that have come from Japan that I've ever really liked. They are two great cars. One is just slightly better than the other and far more exclusive.
  10. Front engined Ferraris such as the 456 were actually classed as GTs. ;) The 0 - 60 is the same as the Z32, not 6 seconds. Which is only about 0.4 seconds slower to 60 than a Ferrari 348. Infact some figures claim them to be sub 5-second 60 cars. Countach, Diablo, F40, XJ220 are hyper-cars which are worth 4 times as much. The NSX isn't just more expensive because of layout, it's a more exclusive car. It was produced in smaller numbers and was never intended as much of a mass produced car as the Z32 which was designed to be a mass produced GT. Not to mention its chassis was refined by Ayrton Senna who had huge input into the chassis design. NSX has stood the test of time just as much. Regarding my Fiesta / Cosworth comment, it was purely an example of a different type of car. Which is what the Z32 and NSX are.
  11. 89 was US and Japan wasn't it? N/A was launched first?
  12. So 3 years then? Or was 1990 the first year of sales.
  13. I am not sure on dates for final production for the Euro Market. I think it was either 3 or 4 years? 91 to 95?
  14. Incorrect, they are a mid-engined 2 seat super car. A completely different car to a Z32 which is a front engined GT. They were also twice the price. Bit like saying 911s don't sell as well as MX5s etc. Never heard such a load of old cobblers. No offence mate. A N/A car with such a small capacity engine producing that much power...the handling performance which is still a benchmark today. People don't just choose cars over value. Z people didn't buy it because it never had 4 seats. It's a totally different car. Bit like saying Fiesta people don't buy Cosworths. Your arguments hold no credibility. It's your preference at the end of the day, but I am not only quoting my preference but I am also quoting fact. NSX was said to be one of the top handling road cars of all time. Z32 is good, but the NSX is still one of the best in terms of handling. Also, if you're talking about economy, why did Nissan stop production of them for the Euro market after only 3 years? Why? Because people wouldn't pay the prices for them. So the argument swings both ways. The NSX remained in production and sold in the UK long after the last Z32s left Nissan dealerships.
  15. I've always liked the Soarer. Looks a bit dowdy as standard though, but a subtle drop and set of dished rims sets them off. The Turbo models came with a funky digital dash. Very modern interior.
  16. Bought this thing about 5 years ago for under £90 while one of my other cars was a bit poorly. Was the worst car I have EVER owned. Completely miserable Golf 1.4CL. 4 speed box.....which needed arms of steel to shift the gears. It came with M3 mirrors....not just that, they were LED M3 Mirrors!!!!!!!! I booted those off almost imediately and left them in a Maccy's car park for someone. Also, not sure if you can see from the pics, that the rub strip recesses....are not there. Yup, full of filler and fibreglass. I did attempt to hit the lot out with a hammer and managed to dislodge most of it. Also, the washer jet holes had two lovely dollops of fibreglass, these too were smacked out. Only had about 67k on the clock. But the bodywork was totally ruined. Anyway, I gave it absolute death. Bit of rally driving gave it the well used look. Nice wheel. Well, this one time, we had rather a lot of rain and one of the roads near where I was living in Fareham. Place was flooded.....badly. So we decided to take the Golf down there and kill it! Looked quite deep.... It was pretty deep... Then suddenly, water came right over the bonnet...water started coming in through the doors as well. Was really funny at the time. Pedal to the floor, revs dropped, but it carried on running. Managed to get out of the other side. Gave it death all the way back home. Spend the new few weeks giving it even more death. It didn't die. I sold it in the end for twice what I paid for it. Horrid horrid car.
  17. Depends what wheels you have and what you want. Refurbing a set of split rims isn't cheap, but it's cheaper than buying a new set of split rims, but nearly the same price as buying a cheap set of mono-block cast rims. Depends what you want at the end of the day.
  18. Certainly isn't. NSX is a superior and very different car to the Z32. It's mid engined for starters, out handles the Z32, is better built, holds its money, more reliable and developes the same BHP as the Z32 without the need for turbos.
  19. Narrr, I do meets in the Summer. Mine's wrapped up warm in the garage. It's too wet/salty now.
  20. Top ones for sure Coppen!!!!!!
