  1. I wasn't willing to have mismatched calipers. I wanted a complete retro-fit solution front and rear. I'd probably go for Akebono setup now if I was looking to upgrade, I was very lucky with what I got. The parts (pads and disks) is just as easy IMO. Absolutely no difficulty in getting good quality parts for the GTR setup.
  2. There's a full set on eBay now. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152621938820 I can't believe how much the value of these has gone up. I bought mine which included everything for about £350 only about 3 years ago! You can't get fronts for much less than £650 now although I was extremely lucky to get the ones I have for what I paid. I did put put another £800 into them as I replaced, refurbished and upgraded everything.
  3. Laser alignment and a bit of an interior detail - this Z is now ready to drive down to the Mediterranean in a week and a half. :) Yes, it needs fuel - I'll not be driving it until I head to Portsmouth so I'll brim it with 99Ron. Even scrubbed the pedals!
  4. Means 'open' circuit.
  5. Fitted. As you can see, the colour match is pretty good. For comparison, here's the passenger side which is considerably lighter than the other plastics.
  6. If they're the original injectors, that'll unlikely happen. The plastic caps will crumble at the mere sight of an extraction tool.
  7. Which one are you wanting to remove? Number 3 wasn't it?
  8. Greg @ Protuner. Quite a distance for you, but he has good experience with Nistune and a number of members on here have used his service and have been over the moon. Jimmer @ PowerZed recommends also, so the best place IMO
  9. No idea what it's about. Haven't seen anything, but I stay off that dreadful Nismo UK 300 page so thankfully I don't have to witness the BS. All looks good on here still! :)
  10. Actually, those were different in the link : http://specialtyz.com/shop/300zx/fuel-injector-sets.html Greg also has a range of tunes he's done. http://specialtyz.com/shop/300zx/sz-ecu-chips.html In addition, replace the fuel dampener and fuel pressure regulator.
  11. Ignore all pintle style injectors. 740cc as listed in Andrew's link. They seem to respond to tuning better than most.
  12. You don't really need new turbos to get to 400/450 although you will need new injectors, a good boost controller, some larger intercoolers and a dyno tune. Breathing mods are essential prior and it you can stretch to doing it, 2.5" intercooler pipework. Firstly however, upgrade the brakes (if they haven't already been done) and the clutch. The stock clutch won't last 5 minutes with 400+hp and while you're at it, a lightened flywheel.
  13. Sounds like you have an injector out. Got a multimeter? You can check resistance. See video to show you how: [video=youtube;K-2_rO3jGtk]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-2_rO3jGtk
  14. The Japanese use a different unit of measure. On your tyre it should say 4.2kg/cm2 which is the equivalent to 60PSi
  15. Bailey used to make a recirculating valve called the DV30. Not sure whether they do it anymore. I know Joelyp had also found another manufacturer of aftermarket recirculation valves. I'm pretty sure there is a way of turning an atmospheric dv into a recirculating one.
  16. As above. BOVs as well as being hateful do not add an ounce of performance or anything and 'can' be detrimental. I have GHKs on my Z. All that lovely metered air stays in the system as it should.
  17. Not as far as I am aware. I'll have a dig around.
  18. ....ah! They do look different actually. Mine have a raised ridge running down the face of them and I know mine are R33GTR Brembos as I saw the car they came off.
  19. Just get them from bigredd, no need to go to Nissan. Here are photos of mine for comparison. Not sure what else to tell you really other than it looks like you've have been refurbished and a different sized logo was fitted.
  20. R34GTR Brembos are the same. A lot of pistons in the Brembo range from that style are shared and as such use the same size seal. Where did you get the seal kit from?
  21. It already has a backing, it's pretty high quality.
  22. Jimmer @ PowerZed gets high quality ones manufacturered IIRC.
