  1. Bugger off, it's way too big to be a trolley jack. Maybe's it's a dead mouse? Looks a bit like one.
  2. Build quality is suppose to be abysmal on them. I've never driven one or seen one in the flesh. Can't decide if I like them or not. Knowing it's built by Rover though is a big turn-off. It also uses headlights from a Fiat Punto.
  3. Bloody well isn't! It's the turnip that sits between the whirlygig!

I reckon it will come back looking like this...
  5. Is it an oil filter? Looks like it might be a Windscreen or brake disk too.
  6. Is it a tyre or beaded seat cover?
  7. My cousin went out to Romania after the overthrow of Nicolae Ceausescu (SP?). I think that happened in the late 80s and she went over in the early 90s She's did volentary work in some of the orphanages there. Saw some very interesting and heartwrenching photos of her time out there. Be interesting to visit. One of the few countries in Europe I've yet to visit.

You need the perspex strip from Nissan. While you're at the bodyshop, tell them not to fit the rabbit hutch.
  9. Just noticed this. The vynil interior is disgusting enough, but the carpet! Does the owner wear rubber underpants too?
  10. It happened ages ago when caravan lights and viper wings were introduced. lol
  11. If it's the perspex strip he's painted, likelyhood is, he's keyed it. So, even if you remove the paint, the surface finish will be ruined. You could paint the thing gloss black. But new ones are only £50. I'd sooner shell out the £80 it cost to get the one with the integral 3rd brake light.
  12. Never really been into Peanut butter coloured Jetskis.
  13. LOL and switchgear. The Jaguar XJ220 uses Rover 200 rear lamps! One thing I'd be doing as an XJ220 owner would be fitting the newer style rear lights with the tinted indicator! LOL
  14. Well, that's the point of this forum. For sharing information. I'm sure all the other forums are the same and at first glance seems that all cars have problems.
  15. Mine's not missed a beat since Jimmer did the rebuild, nearly 3 years ago now. Even then, it never let me down. If the previous owner (Shipper in Japan) had refitted the connectors for the wastegate solenoids after removing a previously fitted boost controller, it wouldn't have needed it. But yeah, no problems here. Been very impressed. Starts first turn of the key, smooth engine, strong boost, no oil leaks or oil consumption) I kept hearing 'horror stories' before buying mine, so I was expecting something as unreliable as a politician's word. TBH, I think most people have few issues with them considering what they are and how old they are. It's only the abused/unmaintainted examples that tend to break. I bought a decent example and maintained it well and it's been fine. Look after one and generally, it'll be fine.
  16. He probably can't drive. As much as I think the Z has great mid-range power, the GTR is just imense and a whole life ahead of the Z in terms of stock performance. I know full well as I have had the pleasure of a GTR when I was in the US in the summer. Good fun though I bet Steve. :)
  17. Sounds like you've got a bit of oxidisation on it. Nothing a buffer will sort out and, at worst, a colour sand. If you don't want to tackle it yourself, then there are plenty of good auto 'detailers' that will measure paint-thickness and use various techniques to take the paint back to the good payers and protect it with a high grade wax.
  18. On a slightly different spin.... Chase HQ! Top Trumps - Turbos http://www.ultimate-top-trumps.co.uk/waddingtons_super_top_trumps_s2.htm
  19. You don't need a timer for it. You just need a secondary cooling system and another thermostat.
  20. I think my 2 favourite TVRs are the Griffith and the Cerbera. The Sagaris and Tuscan are just very odd looking and quite ugly cars. Mental vehicles though, just not in the least bit aesthetically pleasing.
  21. I'd have a Cerbera over a Tuscan any day of the week and mod it lighty. The Tuscan is an ugly looking bean.
  22. Then then fix above won't really work. lol
  23. LOL, Why don't you just fit an unvented nose panel? LOL Would have been easier and looked better.
  24. Looks like someone poured brake-fluid all over it :(
