  1. I did some of mine on ebay. But unfortunately, I'm a procrastinator with a lot of things especially Christmas and leave it all till the last minute and ebay then becomes useless. Saying that, I bought a few things within the last week and they got here very very quickly.
  2. I recommend Bilstein on VAG cars, coupled with either Eibach or H&R.
  3. Thank fook for that!!!!!!!!!! Had a really rough night's sleep last night for some reason! My mojo was playing tricks on me whilst I was trying to get some shut-eye. Consequently, I managed to slide out of bed at 9.30 and make a quick dash for the shops. It was painful, but surprisingly, Cribbs Causeway was only half packed. Still was a miserable experience though! I did half of it about 3 weeks before after being dragged out of my house kicking screaming! As I was coming out though, there were huge streams of cars jostling for space. The half empty car parks had filled out and people were being directed into the overflow car park! I was in Cribbs Causeway for a mere 40 minutes! I bet it's absolute HELL in there right now. Horrid! I foolishly leave Christmas shopping right up until about 3pm on Christmas eve. But forced myself and glad it’s done! Thank fook it's all nearly over!
  4. Wouldn't call it cheap. It's competatively priced. Nice tidy stock example there. When cars get to the age of the Z, a service history isn't always the most important thing. TBH, a service history can in somes respects, on these cars not be a good thing. Buy from an enthusiastic knowledgable owner who looks after his car. It's easy to spot a shitter these days.
  5. H&R all the way. One of the best spring manufacturers in the world. I tried in vain to get them for my Z, but they were special order only @ £600! They'll be about £200 mark for the Golf though I'd imagine. You get the Eibach type level of comfort, but with a slightly lower drop.
  6. Welcome! Another potention Bristol Zedder. Good luck with the search.
  7. It was a good meet actually. Nice little turn out. Jimmer and I saw Zogg on the way back at a petrol station on the outskirts of Bristol! He was driving from Preston down to Cornwall! Dunno why he didn't stop off at the meet on the way down. Would have been 1/2 a mile out of his way! LOL
  8. Turkey is a horrible meat. I think my parents are doing Capon this year (Castrated cock!). Good job, as I'd just end up eating something regular if I was to stay at mine!
  9. Pose? I'm the guy sat down with his arms crossed falling asleep!
  10. Christ! I look stoned!
  11. Quick, go and pull all the fibreglass off it and hand it back to Princess Yachts!
  12. One of the ugliest bodykits ever to grace the planet.
  13. I had it last month. Was the worst one I've had yet. Not often ill, but when I am, it's game over. Mine was so bad, it lasted nearly 4 days and took nearly 2 weeks to get over. Every 10 minutes I was having to dash for the toilet to vomit out of my arse and my face (no comments about "what's the difference between funkysi's arse and his mouth" etc! LOL) even though the same substance was evacuating and high speed through BOTH holes simultaneously. I ran out of loo role and the stuff was like liquid that I ended up in the shower as it was going everywhere. I was gagging so much that I started bring up bile with small amounts of blood in it. Really was that bad that I nearly dialed 999! I was throwing up so hard that I head butted the sink and nearly knocked myself out.
  14. TTMTP, cheers, I'll get them sent off shortly. Tried that already. Thanks though.
  15. It's a CD I've had for a long time that was given to me by a photograpy company and I've never been able to open the films. I was given it quite a few years ago no and don't have anyone there who could answer my questions. This CD has a number of files which I beleive to either be image files or articles from a newsprint application. Here's a screen shot of some of the information. Just wondering if anyone's recognised it. I've searched the web with little results.
  16. I can help with removing trim and panel work. Not at the moment though, but whether the weather improves.
  17. First of all, is find a good bodyshop. Secondly, do as I did. I didn't got for a full colour change, just a blow over. I can't STAND over spray, one of my biggest pet hates. I stripped down as much trim as I could, both to save a bit of money and for peice of mind. So, that was rear bumper, rear lights, aerial surround, perspex rear strip with weatherstrips behind. Tailgate weather strips, door and rear window cappings, door, door handles, indicators, front arch liners, front bumper, splash tray, headlights, nose panel, wing mirrors, filler flap, windscreen and t-top weather trims. Then you go down the route further and take apart the handles, unscrew the weather strip on the nose panel and pop off the badge. Then there's the front bumper. Take out the lights, remove the bumper, take out the grille and replace (Or get repainted to the original black). The rest of the car was masked to the ground, which was an easy job now that everything was done. When all refitted, it all looked like a new car. Arch liners with no over spray, just all cleaned up and refitted. Nothing worse than looking a Z head on seeing overspray all over the radiator, intercoolers/ducts, splashgaurds etc, looks a mess and really cheap. Evenmore so when the sun shines on it. Mine had none of that and for that alone, it was worth the respray. I even returned the grille back to its original black and fitted a new front bumper lower support to make it look like new.
  18. I'll find some links. There are a few on the US forum that I know of. But I'll do that tomorrow after I have awoken from the dead. IIRC, DTA is looking in getting some custom splashgaurds made up.
  19. No they're not. They are trying to...but failing. I'm just typing as if I need my cataracts removing as well as my boxing gloves.
  20. I concede! I have taken too many sleeping pills! LOL
  21. Slashgaurd? Do you urinate on it? Maybe you need a toilet mate! LOL
  22. I fail to see how any air filter can be illegal. They just look like something that boyos fit to their fezzas. Looks like something for a FWD NA type application. They remind me of Pipercross's 'Viper' filter. Looks very gimmicky. You not thought of getting a slashgaurd fabricated for yours?
  23. I've never heard of them before, but a search yielded this... http://www.bmcairfilters.com/infoCDA.asp
