Might actually help if you visited a part of France that wasn't in the North East. Travelling through that area to get to Germany isn't the nicest part of the country. IMHO, much of France is every bit as nice as Germany. I've travelled in both many many times. My sister lives in Munich (fantastic city). But France has just as much to offer IMO. I love the place and the people and I've travelled all over the world, but still think France is one of my favourite. They are both very different countries.

Swap the bell housing from a manual VG gearbox to the RB gearbox and I'm led to believe it fits straight on with only minor modifications. Don't take that as gospel though.

Make sure it's right up to temp! Drive it for about 10 - 15 minutes (Don't leave it idling from cold!)

10 miles a day is still poor. I guess you drive 5 miles to work and 5 miles back again. Engine won't have warmed up for a decent period of time. Anyway, sounds like it could be turbo seals. Get a compression test done on it to rule out rings. You can check for blow by, by popping off the oil filler cap when the engine is up to temp. If there's no pulsing fumes and the oil pressure is good, then your engine is probably good.

So that's about 5 miles a day if you drive it every day? That's crap. Does it smoke on idle?

I was joking....I don't know what's wrong with your car. :wack: So, your car is smoking. Under load/boost? Does it do it on idle? What colour smoke is it? Pop off the oil filler cap when the car's up to temp and see if fumes pulse from it. The white puss could be mayo. How many miles do you do in it a day? TBH, VGs warm up quickly and burn condensation off quickly.

Well if it's boosting to 11, it's not running stock boost which is around the 9.5PSi. Stock gauges aren't all that accurate but it sounds as if yours has either got a boost controller of sorts or is running boost jets.

I think that would be an administrative nightmare especially for people who've already bought those in advance also.

I'm a little annoyed too as I didn't manage to buy mine either. On a flip side, it's also a little unfair that the thing is cancelled as there are already lottery ticket sales and customers who've bought theirs previously will be still expecting a draw.
