  1. Similar wheels, but yeah. They are copies of the Spoon wheel. SW-388 are mega bucks iirc.
  2. Yeah, doesn't suprise me one bit. They are big! Sending those airfreight is gonna cost you. Might be cheaper sending them by sea via USPS or something but they take up such a large area, that you're going to be shelling out regardless. Might be worth seeing what Danny can do. I know he gets stuff imported from the US quite often so might be able to fit it in with a shipment. Worth asking...which you may have done already.
  3. Very very nice mate!! :duffer: Nice plans for it too. You going to get the clear wing repeaters too? A rare sight to see a stock tidy UK car.
  4. That's a very very rare extension the non-turbo GT-Z. Everyone seems to go for the TT version. I really like the non-turbo one. I've not seen one this side of the Atlantic.
  5. Rota Slipstream are copies of the Marquis Promada, which are made by Regamaster. The Promada is much lighter.
  6. Rotas are copies of Volk. The big drift kings roll on those. I've just read a number of bad stories on the wheels cracking, rims ripping off etc that's all. Anyway, ignore. Rota wheels do look good regardless. Back to thread. :)
  7. Rotas have very poor reputation regarding quality. (ie dangerous) :(
  8. Interesting stuff. That looks to me like an early one (55U) as it has the anti-drainback value which new filters don't have. I've not heard of the Purolator filter, but it's a more modern design. I am guessing it's a US market item. Nissan filters may be made by various companies. They won't be made by Nissan themselves. They could be made by Balwin, Sogefi or any other number of filter manufacturers supplying to the OEM. I'm not disputing the results given at all. The number of pleats isn't always a reference to the filtering ability. It's partly down to the media, what its beta ratio is and what its micron rating is. The OEM filter does look poorly constructed. BUT, it does have a bypass valve which, is essentially why the cap doesn't need to be manufactured from metal. It doesn't need strain relief in that part of the filter as the idea of the valve is, to release pressure when the filter is blocked and the pressure drop overcomes it. The Purolator filter doesn't have this option. It's simply a larger filter with a higher dirt carrying capacity, BUT in-turn, may give a higher pressure drop, which, can be as bad as having a crap filter. The only way to see if the filters were better than each other would be to flush them with contaminated lubricant for a set period and then to check the fluid with a particle counter.
  9. The two cylinders on the left are fuel pumps the larger one on the right is probably some sort of swirl pot I'd guess.
  10. Ugleeeeeeeeee. I know on those cars they are purely a functional item, but they look like they've been designed by a failed year 12 GCSE Design/Technology student.
  11. mclarenf1kid's black shortie has one of the best stances I've ever seen. Height and geometry and perfect. I've always set my sights on that one regarding the stance of my own Z. Although mine falls well short of that, it's a happy-medium for me.
  12. Just wondering if anyone's got any predictions regarding £ vs $. It's dropped in value by 1/4, since last summer. It's now hovering around the $1.50 mark. With the US's economy the way it is, I can't imagine the value of the £ against the dollar would go down any further. It picked up a little today, but I doubt it'll go back up to the 2:1 ratio we saw in and around the summer months. The recent VAT cut seems to have done nothing to halt the decline of the currency and with more job cuts forecast and house prices still continuing to drop, will the £ devalue more against the $?
  13. It's all in the detail. The smooth lines of the Z just can't wear half of the aftermarket bodykits and huge spoilers and other crud that is available for it IMO. :)
  14. Steve's Z is fantastic! :duffer:
  15. He's got a rubber extension on his ABFlug bumper.
  16. No ta. But can see what you're trying to achieve
  17. If I can't afford it, I won't do it. Certainly wouldn't justify me fitting that horrible thing to it. But if you like it, go for it. I've seen lower splitters that look ok, but not ones with those horrible support bars.
  18. Yeah I do too. Although I think it would only work on dark coloured cars. Would look a little 'obvious' on white, silver, yellow etc.
  19. It's not the cost that's always the main issue. Shipping from Japan isn't cheap, especially something that size. Expect to double that value by the time it's landed and cleared UK customs.
  20. Best bet is GT-Z lip. IMO, unless you're going for the Type 2 skirts, the type 2 front bumper extension looks a 'little' out of place. (*&^(*(&(*&!")(£&)("?????????? WTF? You having schizoid delusions?
  21. It's just a rubber extension. Probably home made/sourced from another car.
  22. Mixed feelings on the black one at the top (lowzx). Offset is really off, wheel choice doesn't work and I don't like the rear spoiler at all. The rest however is very nice. Good choice of skirts and bumpers. I think the owner has replaced the wheels and spoiler now. For my favourite, there's no questions....this is without doubt my favourite. Goes to show that the stock lines of the Z are by far the most pretty. But, I do like modified Z32s as much as people don't think I do. I just like quality and tasteful modifications. As far as modified ones go. This is the choice cut for me. Collegeboy's wide arch SWB.
